if it's not under warrenty anymore then i would trade it in and hope it preforms fine as they boot it up to check it and get another one.

could get it repaired by someone for around £50-£60 maybe.. but you could trade it in and put money owards a new one there on offer in gamestation atm £150 for the 250gb slim.

No point paying for a repair on your console now unless it's done by microsoft as it is not garenteed to last..

I feel your pain im on my 3rd console now. and even now mine plays up everyonce in a while

right so here it is my gears chievs are messed up

i have unlocked 'RECOVER ALL OF THE COG TAGS' but recover one third of the cog tags achievement remains locked?

also i have completed act 1-4 on insane but the achievements for hardcore etc have not unlocked?

and then i have DOMINATION- which is complete 10 different co-op chapters as dominic santiago.

but DOM CURIOUS - complete 1 co-op chapter as dominic REMAINS LOCKED

any ideas? this is a real pain in the ass as i had around 790g on it and now i have 200g
