We are getting screwed!!

I am a huge television fan and have found myself browsing other internet websites to get information on my favorite television shows. I have been logging on to thefutoncritic.com for a while now and today they posted all of the shows that I watch on every network and how many remaining episodes of each show are left. First off let me say, I am sooooooo happy that TV is back again, but when I clicked on certain shows, for example, The Office, it says that due to the strike, only 19 of the season's 30 episodes were getting made. I was pissed, not only because I love The Office, but the fact that these writers made us TV fans wait for almost 4 months and now we get at best 5 to 6 new episodes before a long summer break? You tell me how that is fair. This is what I believe should happen - These writers finally got what they wanted, right? Therefore, they should be writing episodes well into the summer and continue to produce new episodes until the full seasons order is complete. In most cases, there are only like 3 to 4 shows that are not getting made. "ER" would be my example for that...there are 19 episodes getting made but there was a total of 23 supposed to be shot. Is it really that much to not make those other 4 episodes? I think if television writers, producers, and actors want America to continue to watch what they are good at doing best, they should make us happy by giving us what we want! We are going to be subjected, in most cases, with repeats from mid-May through mid-September! It almost makes me think that I should just boycott television altogether and just start becoming a movie junkie, because there is none of this whiney-ness in the movie industry.
