I don't think so; after trying some other games, I notice it only kicks into high gear with UC2, and even then after~20 minutes it goes back into low gear. I figured it was just the game, but I cleaned out my Ps3 just be sure. I put UC2 back, and it still does it. It's the game itself. Thank you all those that gave me suggestions and advice. :)If its really high it means ylod is close (andI mean close) deactivate your account and save all data to usb NOW. My ps3 just ylod for the sec time so I know what Im talking about

Dusty perhaps? After my original console died, I opened it up and there was a thick layer of dust on the fan.MushroomWigI think that may be it. Any ways to get out other than compressed air and opening it?
Hmmm, I don't have any compressed air cans. Would a vaccum cleaner get the job done?Yeah really, and than people wonder why they got ylod. TC, dude take a 15 minute break every hour, and use compressed air to clean that sucker. Most people are against compressed air, but I'm not. Whenever I use the compressed air can, I see a LOAD of dust fly out every time. And my ps3's fans don't even reach second gear until a few weeks later when more dust builds up.

it's just warm and is trying to cool down
playing for more than 3 hours can do that....GC4ever
Sorry, I should've rephrased that: I put in Uncharted 2 in right after I turned the Ps3 on which had been resting for ~17 hours. After the fan turned on high speed, I put in inFAMOUS to see if it would do the same thing, which it didn't.
When I was playing Uncharted 2 on my Ps3 the past few mornings, the fan in the back started kicking into high gear. This morning, I popped Uncharted 2 out and put in inFAMOUS and played for about 3 hours; the fan stayed at a low speed through out the game, versus ~20 minutes with Uncharted 2 before the high speed started. Is this because of the amount of things that need to be processed w/ Uncharted 2? Or do I need to clean my fan out? Or is my Ps3 about to YLOD? What are your suggestions? Thank you in advanced.
[QUOTE="MusashiSensi"]This. I'm confused why everyone in this thread keeps talking about a change. These are the exact same screens we saw at E3. Someone needs to produce some screens that prove otherwise.I don't see the change & it hasn't been offically announced, so I will wait until SP brings out this "new change".....again. Plus, some of those shots show the Cole we were shown at E3.

The hair is slightly shorter and faded, and his face is a *tiny* bit older looking.
I think this is funny, all this outrage that is. Imagine it like this: if I were to go back to the time when Thriller was released and say "This is what Michael Jackson will look like in the future" and hold up a picture of Michael from, say, 2008, people would exclaim that a) That that wasn't Michael; b) I'm a hater and crazy; c)There's no way Michael could look like that; or d) all of the above. Not that same situation, I know, but it's similar on the levels of hillarity.
Any way, I was OK with the way Cole looked at e3, except I thought the hair looked awkward and stuck out. However, I like this redesign a lot more, with his shorter and his face less Nathan Drake-ish. Now, if they could get rid of those stupid necklaces, the design will be perfect IMO.
I lol'd at the Kinectimals and Video Chat slides, but all the others were chuckles. All in all, an OK comic, but not hillarious. I don't get the dance slide, though....
So? It doesn't mean that a new system won't come out before then. Por ejemplo, the Ps2 has had a 10 year life span so far, but the Ps3 was released in the Ps2's sixth year. Now, seeing as how Microsoft dropped Original!Xbox supportlike a ton of brickswhen the 360 came out, I doubt it's likely; but it's definitely possible.

It's not just his hair. His whole outfit.

It isn't worse or better than what he had before
It's just that....an outfit lol
New outfit, new hair, and new voice=new personSo, let's say I go away from home for a few months. During that time I buy a new style of dress, decide to grow my hair out to make a Beatles-style cut, and I go through puberty. I come back looking and sounding completely different, but I act the same way. Does that make me a different entity all together? We have no idea what New!Cole's personality is like, so we can't make a fair jusgement on him yet. IMO, judging people based on appearance/voice type is extremely shallow.
That being said, I'm niether for nor against the change, but I do have to point out something: the Sucker Punch employee only said that "the game was in the middle of a two-year cycle." While it is true that things can change in that amount of time (just compare the original inFamous trailer back from '07 to the finished product), he never explicitley promised that "Cole will get a redesign" or anything of the like. He gave a very ambiguous answer that could be applied to any problem that the fanbase had with the new game.
