great...wish i had known this when i bought the monitor!

do you guys know of any monitors that have a native resolution of 1680x1050 and supports 75hz?? Also like a 2ms response rate would be a plus. If anyone could show me a product like that or a similar native resolution, i would be very grateful.

AMD Phenom II 3.2ghz

620w PSU

Geforce 460gtx 1gb

4 gigs ram

this is the monitor i have.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236050

i am 99% sure that all my video drivers are up to date. I have tried to force different refresh rates, but i have only a 59hz and a 60hz option. I am wondering if it is the monitors fault. In most games the monitor works really well and is very sharp, but in games like WoW that my build can play effortlessly, the framerate stutters a bit due to only have a 60hz refresh option. I am playing it on the recommended resolution and everything. I am running Windows Xp

Do i really need to get a new monitor for the performance the build can handle? I would think when you buy an expensive monitor for gaming it would have up to date refresh options. Any ideas?? 75hz or so would be ideal.

hmm interesting. Would i get a higher framerate by not overclocking, and just unlocking, or by NOT unlocking and just overclocking?

AMD Phenom II @3.4ghz

Geforce GTX 460 1gb

650w PSU

4 gigs ram

I use my PC for gaming. In BIOS i had the option to activate all 4 cores, and i did. Didnt notice much of a difference i suppose, what does this do exactly? and would it be a good idea to keep it like this for gaming?

ok well like i said i have an AMD phenom II 3.2ghz cpu.....i used a program called TurboV to overclock it, and it says i achieved a 20% performance boost. However i dont really see any difference in my Framerate. And now in my system info instead of showing it as 3.2GHZ or 3.6GHZ it just says 963mhz, is this normal and is this a true overclock?

Hey i have a Geforce GTX 460 1gb, and im using Evga Precision tool to overclock it. For some reason however i dont feel as if its doing anything...i dont notice any real difference in my games, even in high end games when i try to increase framerate, it just seems like im moving the sliders around, and its not actually doing anything.

I am trying to get a little more FPS in games like Crysis, right now im at about 20-30 which kind of sucks.

there are 3 sliders to choose from, Core Clock, Shader Clock, and Memory Clock, Core and shader clock move together in sync. Im not sure what i should increase in order to get higher framerate, any ideas? My CPU is an AMD Phenom II 3.2 ghz@ 3.6ghz.

Default settings on Evga precision tool are

-Core Clock - 715

-Shader Clock - 1430

Memory Clock- 1800

The more money you spend on your gaming rig the longer itll last you.

I just ordered.

AMD Phenom II CPU 3.2ghz

4 Gigs RAM

650w PSU

Geforce 460gtx 1gb

I dont think i will have to upgrade any time soon. I think in the future i will add another 2 gigs of ram for the hell of it, and get another 460, and go into SLI.

i havent been to a movie theater in years, dont plan to. Waste of time and money in my opinion. I dont need to spend money to go somewhere with a bunch of random people and sit in the dark staring at a massive screen. Not even HD for gods sake, too many stupid commercials, trailers, all the BS. Every movie these days is just a bunch of hollywood flicks with big C.G.I bills and dim witted spray tanned actors. screw that
