From time to time there will be a solo or a riff that is very classically influenced. Like some guy said Death's later work is a good example of that, particularily Individual Thought Patterns I found.

Prog Death Band:
Guitar/Vocals/Growls - Dan Swano
Guitar/Backing Vocals/Growls - Mikael Akerfeldt
Bass - Martin Mendez
Drums - Gavin Harrison

Prog Band:
Guitars/Keyboard/Vocals - Steven Wilson
Guitar - Robert Fripp
Keyboard/Programming - Richard Barbieri
Bass - Geddy Lee or Tony Levin
Drums - Neil Peart

I'd make an indie/shoegaze band but imma lazy

[QUOTE="StripTheSoul"]BRAH the cats and pharoahs is Nine Cats

"The pharaoh played a merry tune and watched nine cats dance on the moon,
I didn't know what all this meant. I didn't know why I was sent."

You can clearly tell that he never wrote these lyrics :P A school mate of his was responsible, but damn that guy had some lyrical talent.

The standout tracks for me are Jupiter Island, The Nostalgia Factory, Radioactive Toy, Nine Cats, Footprints, Linton Samuel Dawson and This Long Silence.

I figured the cats was from Nine Cats, but the nonsense reminded me of Jupiter Island. I get bored as hell listening to Radioactive Toy... Message From a Self-Destructing Turnip is always fun though.

You know the studio version of Radioactive Toy is really ******* fast compared to that of Coma Divine's version, that when I listened to it recently I felt my pulse quicken in time with it.

True story. And Space Transmission and Message From A Self-Destucting Turnip always creeps me out. :P

[QUOTE="Guppy507"] Jupiter Island is one crazy ****ing song. It also sounds like Steven was singing in a room full of helium. :PGuppy507

lmao, I don't recall Jupiter island having any cats and pharoahs in it. brb, gonna listen.

I don't know if it does or not, but either way, it's a crazy ass song.

It was a botch, plain and simple.

For more botches check out Botchamania on Youtube. Pretty all great botches, both in terms of moves and promos, are chronicled there.
