I really like this game. but one thing i just dont get is why games think they have to base the story in the present. Why must they make up some insane story about memories from ancestors being in the DNA. why cant they just base this story in the time period in which it takes place. why must i be strapped to this machine to play the actual game. cut out all this bs about this machine that takes me back to my ancestors memories. why cant the story just be about the dude you get to play. i hate the fact that they think they make the story cooler/more believable by adding a present day element. it just makes the game worse. thanks.bluntmastaslaya
Once you complete the game...you'll understand why the set it in the present and not set it in Altair's time...I can't wait to see what the next installment is gonna have.

Not only do they know the map much better, and know which weapons are more effective for each map,a55a55inx

So then that makes every multi player game out there unbalanced doesn't it?

You can't really include that in why the game could be unbalanced...I found it pretty easy to level up...you just have to find out what guns your good with...I used the M16 most of the time until I tried to get my achievements of other guns...the AK47 is also really good which you get at lvl 4 with create a class.

You probably don't have throwing knives yet...you can only pickpocket them to replenish your stock of throwing knives.

there are these fat guys walking around with belts and stuff on right, anyway lock onto one of them and then when you get close hold the B button until Altair takes it. note though that you can get caught and they will try to punch you out.ctfvyrsgurbnorn

There's nothing quite like getting into a brawl with 10 thugs when you miss a pickpocket...fun times...definitely fun

A web browser would be cool, but why did they add a family timer? I don't think there's much of a point to it.GS16
It's good for parents who want to limit the time their kids have on their Xbox...if my kids were old enough it's probably something I would use...I just better not let my wife find out about it or she'll try and use it on me :/

[QUOTE="hyofinkl"]That's the reason why giving out credit card information can be bad. Buying the 1-year Live card from stores seems to be a much safer choice.dubejonathan

agree and I'm doing the samething about those microsoft points.

Yeah I'm regretting that I purchased MS points with my CC...my 2 year old was hitting buttons one day when I left the room and now I'm stuck with 5000 points and no way to get my money back -_-

All I want is a damn web browser...the Wii and the PS3 both have one...and the messenger kit would make it more user friendly.

i never said i believe that going for achievements is "not enjoyment for some people" i'm sure many people enjoy it but i am giving my opinion on how i see that achievements often mislead people to getting "all wrapped up in them"

dont get me wrong, i dont avoid achievements all together, but i just dont like those who play souley for them.

quesadia

No I don't hoarde achievement points, mine is pretty low (still less than 10k). I do try and get most of the achievements in the games I do play though because this is my view on it:

Either I'm paying $60 for a title, or renting it, and this generation is bearing titles that have stories that last less than 10 hours on average I want to get the most out of this investment. I normally don't end up getting every achievement before I return the game because I usually end up bored with the game before I do...after I beat a game it's hard to go back through another time and do the same story over again.

Anywho, just spouting out that people with high achievements have no life is a very ignorant statement. Just because some people have high points doesn't mean they sit there 20 hours out of the day to get the points.

I've got plenty of people on my list with high points who normally don't even complete the games they play, they just purchase alot of Arcade titles and try alot of games and in return end up with high scores because of it.

Just think before you post something like that because you're making yourself look just as stupid as those people who, as you said, 'play souley for' a Gamer Score.

i beat the game, and i took me about 8 hours, and i cant see how anyone doesnt think this game is repetitive, you kill guards and take out the big leader guys, there is the same guy in the assassins bureau with different clothes, and the cities are exactly the same, just the buildings are diferent colors. This game didnt live up to the hype.justin121390

If you've actually beaten the game then how are you going to say the Assassin's in the Bureau are the same people with different clothes? They are entirely different people and have different characteristics aside from their clothing. The cities also look nothing alike, Damascus and Jerusalem have a similar building style because they have a Middle Eastern feel to them. Acre is completely different from the other 2 cities. You obviously just ran through the game and paid no attention to what was going on around you...must be why you feel the game is garbage. And to say it didn't live up to the hype is your opinion that you're entitled to. Halo 3 definately didn't live up to the hype it had going for it yet it's the #1 game on XBL right now and will be for a while, but it also is one of the most repetitive franchises out there. (Frag, Jump, Shoot, repeat until someone dies)

to the original poster. I understand exactly what you are saying. The game does not allow you to immerse yourself into the game and cities because you can't do anything in them. Buy, sell, go inside etc... the crowds and outdoor life of the city is awesome, however people who are into games like Oblivion may love to just walk around and look. People like us who thought this game was going to be a Little more interactive just don't get it.

Saving citizens gets you nowhere, climbing towers is pointless. I wanted a little more action, maybe have to fight people to climb the tower or scope out the tower and who is around it in order to see how I can climb it without being spotted.

Same goes for assassinations. going around and scouting the actual assassination site and setting up a game-plan would have been a bit more fun. It just seems with such elaborate cities there would be more to do. i am especially disappointed with the assassinations. They are too easy. An assassination should be easy if done properly I guess, however, I never really feel as if I need to investigate anything in order to be a success. And I think that is where the game fails most. There is little to no build up or feeling like you really took 2 hours pre-assassination for a big payoff. It just leaves you with a feeling that you have to go through certain steps in order to kill someone else.

Ok this game isn't Oblivion...it's not an RPG this is an action game. You can't compare the two games.Oblivion is a great game but there isn't really anything that is immersive about it in my opinion.

I don't know what version of AC you played but there are plenty of spots in the later versions of the city that have many guards on rooftops that can spot you climbing up to view points. That's what you're asking for isn't it? It already has it.

Yes the Assassinations were easy but they're also weren't supposed to be extremely hard. Altiar is a Master in the Guild, with his skills he isn't supposed to have that difficult of a time performing his missions, this was just, in his mind (not to give away any spoilers), tasks to redeem himself.

Yes I will agree the game is repetitive but only in the sense that each Assassination requires you to do the same things each time before you're able to assassinate your target. But tell me, what game isn't repetitive? Oblivion's combat was extremely easy and repetitive all you do is strike and back up and 99% of the time that's all that's involved.
