It pains me to say this, but I have decided to not purchase the Playstation 3, even though I always intended too. In the UK it appears that it will only be offered with software bundles at approximately £550 (Over $1000), to make matters worse games are being sold for £50 ($92.50). In comparison, I picked by XBOX 360 up for just £279 ($507) and games are no more than £40 ($72).

Like many I would find it hard to justify that kind of expense, especially knowing that we are being charged more than other countries. Perhaps I will pick it up in a few years, once the initial buzz has died down. For now I will continue to invest in my XBOX 360, and perhaps treat myself to a shiny new graphics card for the PC.
