I realize this is a sad, annoying question. I apologize in advance. But I've been looking everywhere and I can't seem to find the answer.
Is it true that all PS3 models are backwards compatible with PSOne games? I have a 120GB slim, and I was about to buy a couple PSOne Classics from the Playstation Store, but then I thought I remembered reading about how Sony was getting rid of PS2 compatibility but PS1 games would still work. I ask because I have a library of old PS1 games at my parents' house, and I'd rather just dig those out than pay another $5.99 to Sony.
I just bought a 720p LCD TV and made the mistake of buying an HDMI cable for my Core system. Apparently, only the Elite has HDMI hookups. So right now I'm stuck using the standard A/V cables that came with my crappy core system, and it sucks. There are also some component video cables, but I'm not sure if that would do anything. So, all you poor Core owners, what kind of cables can I buy to optimize my 360? Any help would be appreciated.
And yes, I know if I was looking for top of the line, I should have bought an Elite and a 1080p Plasma screen, but I have what I have and it's all I can afford.
I sent mine in early last week, around Monday or Tuesday. I got a call from Microsoft last Friday, saying that my console was repaired and they were preparing to ship it back. They said delivery would take about 5 days. It's now been 7 days and I still haven't received my box, so I'm pretty pissed. Yeah, I was prepared to wait 3-4 weeks, but the customer service rep really got my hopes up. Oh well, maybe today willbe the day!
Here's the situation: I'm looking to buy ONE game next week, and I'm not sure what to get. Now, I don't have XBox Live anymore and I don't plan on getting it. But, I do have 2 roommates who both dig XBox. So, I want the game that has the best single player campaign but also has solid versus play. I don't know much about BioShock, and to be honest I don't expect Halo 3 will be THAT much better than Halo 2. So I'm torn. Help.
