ummm, no real advice?

Another note choosing between this and the 5770, I have no problem spending an extra few bucks for the 5770 since it can run directx11, but I'm hearing that although it's CAPABLE of it that it will do a crap job at it, so I'm thinking based on the performance between the two and not factoring in Directx11, that the 250 for like 50 bucks cheaper is a much better way to go...

P.S. I'm assuming from what I've seen that the only real advantage the 5770 has over the 250 is the 11 thing. The 5770 is ddr5 and 250 ddr3, but the 5770 is also 128 bit and 250 256, so I'm ASSUMING not really knowing about cards that it balances out, or maybe even is in favor of the 250 as far as those specs go.

It's actually a 1GB, should have specified that.

I've got a 9500 GT that I want to upgrade FROM and I get a 4.9 for Graphics and a 6.3 for gaming graphics while my processor and memory both get 7.2s. It is the weak link in my system. I find some games just unplayable, and some that I have to put on medium settings. Some demos that are just not playable for me, Just Cause 2, Empire Total War, Napolean Totat War. Fallout 3 I have to put on medium settings. Modern Warfare 2 runs okay on medium settings. Team Fortress 2 runs fine on high.

I was thinking that it would be nice to have it, but the 5770 that sounded like the best one cost 170, and I can get a 250 for 99, or was that 89...The cheapest 5770 is like 150.

Okay, first off forgive all of my postings asking almost the same questions over and over, but I was THIS close to getting the 5770 mainly because of the directx11, but after doing some more reading on here and comparing the performance between the 250 and 5770, I think for the money the 250 might be the better way to go since directx11 isn't all that important at this time, and some of said the performance of directx11 on the 5770 isn't that great.

So, there are just too many versions of the 250 to post links to so I figure it'll be easier to just ask which would be the best one to go with. I'd prefer to go with one on the lower end of the price scale, of possible. Like around $120, but if this one here just as good as the rest that would be great. I definitely want a 1GB.

Thanks.

Hey, where does it say about the 2GB flash drive? I see battlforge, but not the drive when I go the site. I even put it in the cart to save for later and the game shows up, but not the drive.

Is that game any good?

Okay, I've pretty much narrowed down my graphics card search to th 5770. It was gonna be the FeForce 250, but the 5770 is Direct11 capable. I don't know anything about which manufacturers are the best.

I live in the US. My budget is not too much over $100. I would say my max would probably be around $130, but if I found like a super bargain type card thatjust blows everythingelseaway in the rangeat $150 I MIGHT push myself that high.

I don't wanna spend over $100 bucks on a cardand thenin a year have to get another card because it can't play thelatest and greatest games.

I plan on buying a new graphics card pretty soon and I've pretty much settled on a1GB GTS 250. I'm a little concerned, though, that if I get a card that's only Directx 10 capable that I may end up being left out of some of the newer gamespretty soon. There are no particular games I have in mind that I want to play, but I just don't like the idea of not being able to play certain games because my system can't handle it, especially if it starts being a good number of them thatstart using 10.1 orhigher.

Is this a valid concern, or should I be okay with this card as far as playingjust about all of the new games comingout withinthenext year or so? I could live with maybe like 2-3 of the popular games I couldn't play, but not if it's going to be a large number of them.

Thanks.
