Hello everyone!
Here my first blog entry!
Idecided to writethis blog to share my exp and my impressionsof thegame towhich Iam dedicating.
Today we will speak about DECAP ATTACK for the SEGA MEGA DRIVE/GENESIS release in the 1991.
I play this game on the xbox 360, the game is a part of the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection.
The game is a typical platform and the story is about a living mummy without head but with eyes on the chest created by a mad scientistwith hishunchbackassistant (reminds you ofsomething?).
You control Chuck D. Head(the mummy), through various side-scrolling levels in an effort to battle an underworld army led by Max D. Cap(the final boss).
There 7 areas with 3 level for each, the game take place in a strange island shaped like a skeleton, Max D. Cap split it into many pieces andat the end of the last level in every area there is a boss to defeat and a piece of the island will be put in the right place.
Chuckattacks enemies by extending his face out to hit them or by jumping on them and may collecta skullpower-up; which will sit on his shoulders like a head and can be thrown at enemies. Like a boomerang, it will return to him no matter what it hits, or where it goes, but if Chuck gets hit by an enemy or hazard, he will lose the skull.
During the game Chuck may also collect a variety of potions, which can be collected and used at the player's leisure. The potions consist of powerups typical for the genre, such as invincibility, instantly eliminating all enemies on screen, increasing speed and jumping power, and increasing the range and power of Chuck's punch.
In my opinion the game is too long and repetitive because after 10 levels comes boredom...same attacks, same enemies, same power-ups and the bosses are too easy.
Overallthe gameis not bad butit didn'tleave me nothing and Iwill soonforget it.
Score: 6.5/10.00
Now Irecommend the game onlyto lovers of this kind ifthey canbuycheaply(on Steam it costs 2.49€)but for the others save your money.
It all for now.
Have a nice day.
