Battle of the Decades

Minoru, or Sayuri the female main character, is the youngest child in a family of thirteen, not including his/her father who had long passed away. Uncle worked as a royal Librarian in the castle's Facts & Records Hall, while Mother and the oldest son spent their time back at the village tending to the periodically unsuccessful crops. They were dirt poor. Aunt helped with the cooking, and Grandpa would occasionally come home with life-saving doses of gold, but he would mostly come back to take some instead. He likes to gamble. Minoru/Sayuri also has four other older siblings (a pair of which were twins) and three older cousins.

Minoru/Sayuri will turn eighteen in one week. In the Kingdom of Naru, the 18th birthday is traditionally one of the most anticipated and a greatly celebrated event in any Naru inhabitant's life. Days before his/her birthday, Mother told Minoru/Sayuri that there aren't even enough funds to make the traditional Oishii Kohitsuji dinner, which is a basic part of the extensive celebration. Minoru/Sayuri was depressed. The night before the hopeless birthday, Haru, the youngest (19) cousin persuades Minoru/Sayuri to a plan. The plan involves sneaking out, running away, and travelling across the land to the Battle of the Decade. The reward for this long and hard tournament is the fabled Golden Dragon Scale, an item that will grant up to 4 wishes before turning into dust.

Minoru/Sayuri

Your main character as described above. Minoru is the male character in the game, while Sayuri is the female character. The type of fighter you are changes depending on how you use skill points and the way you equip items.

Haru

She is your cousin and your first battle partner in the game. She starts off only knowing a few low level attack spells.

Junichi is a wise, old sorcerer who joins you at some point in your quest. His motive is to wish for eternal youth.

Asami
She's a mysterious ninja fighter who joins you half-way across to the Battle of the Decade. Her motive is unknown and she doesn't talk unless spoken directly to.

Boss:

[spoiler] At some point in the game, Asami reveals her true motive. She wants to take the thrown and become Queen of Naru and all the surrounds it. She believes that you and your other two partners are holding her back and decides to take you out, when she finds a power gem.The battle will be tough becuase her boss stats are based off the stats she had before betraying your party. The more experience you had given her, the more damage she'll deal out.

The stats are the character's stats at the time they first join your party.

The game will be available for all home consoles and PC/Mac.
