Right now we address ps3, 360, and wii as "next gen" and ps2, xbox, and gc as "current gen"

so....when does the next gen start being called the current gen?

I'm looking to pick up a racing game, and with NFS Most Wanted and Burnout Revenge costing 30 bucks each, i'm not sure which one to get.

I like sporty looking cars, good physics, and fast action with a good storyline.

Are either of these games good, or is one better than the other?  Thanks

And also, many of you appear to lack in the reading a question part of forums. He didn't ask what the Elite had in it, he asked if the timing would be dumb since the Elite is soon to come. Nothing to do with which is "better".

 but if i DO NOT WANT an elite, is it a dumb time to buy a premium?  as in, should i wait until after the elite is out to buy a premium?

thanks for replys....i know that i probably dont want an elite for a loooong time...i just dont want to buy a premium and then find it 100 dollars cheaper two weeks later

I was thinking of picking up a premium system this week (if i can find a deal with a freebie controller or game) and i'm wondering if it is a stupid time because the elite is coming out so soon (i do NOT want to buy an elite, just trying to get a good deal on premium)

 any thoughts/insights?
