I recently got my Xbox 360 Elite for Christmas. But before I say anything else, I just wanna say that I love my 360, and its online multiplayer features. And with it, I recieved 5 games. Those games were:

• Burnout Paradise
• Halo 3
• The Simpsons Game
• Ghostbusters: The Video Game
• Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)

And I noticed that there were still stickers on the front of some of the games. For some reason, the sticker said that Sonic the Hedgehog was only $3.99, and that's a pretty low price for a game. And I wanted to see if I got a great game for a great deal, or if it was just another one of those games on the discount shelf. After playing for about a half an hour, now I know... ...Sonic '06 sucks.

After seeing the opening cutscene, I said "What the hell does THIS have to do with Sonic, or anything else?". Basically, I guess Sonic is trying to save Princess Elise and the Chaos Emerald from the clutches of Dr.Eggman.To be honest, I did not know what to do after I reached Soleanna and saw Tails. Then I found out that you need to buy an upgrade to cross the river to reach the first level. I looked all around the town and finally saw this BARELY recognizable store. After I got it and went to the first level, the camera and controls were so bad, I just couldn't get it. The load times aren't a help either. Let me just say this, if you're going to be playing a level in the game, or doing a town mission, just grab a drink and be patient. But I wish I could say that the game's "so bad, it's good", but it just isn't. Only the most casual of gamers, or the most hardcore Sonic fans will be able to find some fun out of it. If you're a true Sonic fan, like I am, you might wanna stay clear of this.

By the way, what's with Dr. Eggman in this game anyway? He looks as if he would be a real person, and he looks creepier than he usually does. It just isn't right. Although there may be a supporting cast of characters in the game, like Knuckles, Tails, Amy, Shadow, Rouge, Blaze,and E-123 Omega, they really don't help the overall game. And there's and introduction of yet ANOTHER character in the Sonic series, whose named Silver The Hedgehog. And the voice acting in this game is pretty poor as well. All of the people in the village move their lips and arms, even wen they're not even speaking. And most of the main characters voices are straight out of the anime, Sonic X. Now that's what I call cheap. And like I said, the voices are still not laughably bad. If they were, maybe the game would be more enjoyable.

Maybe I'll go into further detail in a review one day, but I still need to finish the rest of the game for it to really be considered a review. Overall, Sonic '06 is just a mediocre game at its worst. And now I see why this game was so cheap.
