DarkSector was very under the radar for whatever reason. The story wasn't particularly interesting or well presented but the combat is arguably the best of its genre. I really love it, and if you haven't played it and you're not sure about it; it's only like $9 at any gamestop because of its unpopularity. Seriously one of the best deals you can get on a game released like 2 years ago (I think)

A good friend of mine and I hang out at least four times a week to play Call of Duty 4 on my Xbox 360. He still gets something out of it, but I've gotten pretty bored of the very limited options splitscreen mode offers.
For those who haven't tried it; the RPG aspects of the game are almost completely omitted except for around ten pre-made archetypal classes that can get kind of dull after awhile.
Many of the maps are also missing, most of which I find to be the more compelling of them.
They may have been omitted for performance issues, but Crossfire seems to be larger than a few of the omitted maps. The game modes seem to be mostly intact but not without some infuriatingly unintuitive design choices like needing to reset all of my settings whenever I change game modes (I digress).
You also cannot play splitscreen modes when using system link, so If I've got more than four gamers over the only game that will accomodate them all is Halo, unless I have enough Xbox's and TV's for everyone, and less than half my gamer friends even own a next gen console (not necessarily a common representation).
So why were these things left out? Perhaps because the amount of people that play multiplayer at home has diminished? Despite online play, I doubt that's the case, or at the very least the two can be hybridized.
Or maybe it's because there was a time issue and the developers didn't feel it necessary to put as much time into the split screen mode. It's understandable, considering the high budget of such a title (and the multi-platform nature of it) though unfortunate.
I suppose it could also be for balance or as I said before performance, two issues that I think could be resolved with some clever planning.
Anyway, the real reason behind this story is to ask others how they feel about this? Do you want more splitscreen options, or should it be left in the dust? Has anyone else found this frustrating? Id really like to know. Personally, I miss the Goldeneye days of couch multiplayer.
Thanks in advance if you bothered to read my whole rant (in before tl;dr)
DS - The Christmas it launched and replaced it with Lite soon after that launched.
Wii - A week after it launched.
Xbox 360 - September 2007 for Bioshock.
PS3 - September 2008 for Little Big Planet.
All franchises must come to an end, and it's usually bad when they don't. Alot of you say you don't want MGS or Final Fantasy, or Zelda to stop being sequalized, but to what extent? The more and more games are pumped out of the same franchise, the more disappointed you will inevitiably become with them. I'm still in love with the Half Life franchise but If Valve decides that episode 3 is the final chapter in the life of Gordon Freeman, I'll just have to live with it. At least I can say he never went the ways of Sonic...
So your argument is; since piracy was easier back in the day, they shouldn't stop people today from stealing their product? Wow...keep think, you could reach thought.
Okami, $40 for that game was a steal, and that was brand new.
360 is certainly more versitle, but the PS3 is a solid piece of hardware. I own both and play my 360 a lot more, so I guess it's up to what you prefer in exclusives.
Seriously SODRChief the more of these threads you participate in, the more you dig your own grave. You're entitled to have an opinion, but declaring it so dispicably as infalible is just not in good taste. Lay off it.
Or that's simply his opinion. Why lable him a fanboy just for expressing himself. Defense is not zealousy, and just because you don't agree with him, you insult him. Thing before you type.[QUOTE="Svarthek"][QUOTE="goofd84"]Another Valve fanboy confirmed.

Every time one person says Halo rocks, or Halo > Valve or Halo > KZ I'm sure all SW people will jump on him, insult and call him Bungie Fanboy or something.
That doesn't make it ok for him to do it. Those people are simply wrong, even if you do it because another did it to you.
