Well, Blue-Ray implementation is going to be implemented eventually. However, they already have tons more capacity than their competitor, so there is no real reason for them to. Surely the next edition PSP will have a type of Blu-Ray but they are shooting for the PSP to be a ten year system, so it'll still be six to seven more years.
I think that a hard drive would be more important. Maybe that could be a way to let developers make bigger games. Say, you buy a disc, and it requires installation. You hook it up to your Wifi and it downloads any extra files that aren't on the disc. They could also verify the discs authenticity. I think that would be a good step in reducing piracy.
Blu-ray? No, not now.
Hard Drive? Hecks yeah.
Hard Drive working in combination with UMD? Double Hecks Yeah.
UMD Burner via USB on your computer? Maybe, it'd be neat at least, and would let you free up your music space for video space or vice versa.
