In my opinion, the single player is alright, nothing special, but the online is really fun and addicting. The destructible environments really make for good strategy and gameplay, eg, taking down walls to expose an enemy or objective.

Woah! That is some really interesting technology. The fact that it can tell what and where you want the turret and treads to be is amazing. The only thing that bugs me is I can defenetly see people making tanks in the shape of a certain body part...that would be akward...

I would much rather have him Doing another lunar (to make up for the horrendous DS version) or evenmore, a new grandia, or a next gen remake of Grandia 1 (My most absolutley Favorite RPG ever.)

jigglebilly1983

I completey agree, Grandia is my favorite RPG. If this game is from the same mastermind of Grandia, then its even more of a must buy for me than it was before.

One time, I was playing CTF, and I was sneaking around the back on some abandoned road in a jeep. Almost no one ever traversed the road I was on, and so I brought up my mini-map to make sure i was going the right way, and all of a sudden, Ihear "AHH!!". So I take off my minimap to discover that I had accidentally, completely by chance run over an enemy player on an out of the way road!

Ok, So I got home about two hours ago, and finally had a chance to sit down and enjoy this demo. IMO, absolutely fantastic, best demo on the PSN to date. I went through it at least about9 times, and even my sister enjoyed it enough to go through it about 3 times. Then I came to the forums, and was shocked to see people whining, "Oh, the demo is too short, it's a button masher, the frame rate is bad, this bed is too hard, this bed is too soft, blah, blah, blah.

I feel these people didn't even play the same demo I did. Several things just made my day playing this demo

The game just looks incredible. Even on my little SD tv, the visuals were jawdropping to say the least. The details in the cutscenes and the environments were stunning.Perhaps because it was standard definition,I had absolutely no frame rate issues like some people whined about...to the contrary, the game was incredibly smooth for me.

The combos and counters, battle system overall- Seriously, there were a ton of insane, brutal, and just beautiful moves in the demo. The combos were fluid and a wonder to watch. It was easy to rip a guy to pieces with a speed slash combo, and quickly switch to the large sword and blow through a wave of enemies. Throwing a guy to the ground and delivering the finishing blow, countering with the move where you lift up the enemies leg and send him flying with a kick to the groin, and the aerial combos gave me such a sense of satisfaction, I had to play over and over again, it was so freaking awesome. Also, picking up items, and the whole throwing-action-camera. I once killed two guys after chucking a barrel at one, and it ricocheted off him and hit his accomplice and killed him. So sweet.

Many people complained about the lack of jumping and the block system, and at first glance, it does seem like a turn-off. But after my 3rd play, it all made sense. The fact is, you just don't need a jump button. You can just as easily evade enemy attacks by using the right stick to dodge. As for blocking, the auto-block for common speed attacks makes it much easier to deliver a fatal but beautiful counter-attack, but still requires skill to see when to change stances to block other moves.

Lot's of people complained they thought the demo was too short...Just to let you people know, you are allowed to play through more than once. The first time was the most difficult, but by the 3rd run, i was hooked. You just have to get used to the combat. How you can just play through this just once and think you've had a full taste is beyond me. Seriosuly, go play it again, right now. You have a right to dislike the game, but if you play it for five minutes and just never touch it again, you never get to enjoy it. You don't pick up and instrument for five minutes and enjoy the sensation of music.

Well, that was my take, If you've only played it once, I can't make you play it once more, butI recommend it. Well, I think I'm gonna go play it again, see if i can do any more combos. Peace out

There was a news thing about it on this site I think...

I think it said that due to Square not making profits on stuff there probably won't be a FFXIII until 2008, at the earliest...makes me sad

number_onegamer

Oh jeez...gonna look that up really quick.
