Is it the right thing to do, to set up large flat screen telly and gaming console before you do literally anything else??
Worked for me lol
That every time I watch England play it becomes more Fifa like and I find myself wanting to pic up my controller do and it better!!
Red Dead Remption
Sheer fun, pure Deadwood....Clint Eastwood.....real Westen fun......been the game to wake me up again for great gaming since ME2
I love gaming podcasts, always a better way to spend the time on a train heading into work listening to the games I may want being discussed or just listening to other gamers talking about the hobby we share a passion for
I listen to the Major Nelson Podcast, a little over American, a little chatty then I would prefer for the xbox games I would rather then talk about, but its a good way to get the Inside scoop on the latest Xbox news......never have liked the way the constantly put IW and MW2 over no matter what online mess the game has become
The Gamespot Podcast is in my eyes, a better product. Firstly because its British, but mostly because it really is all about games, from all formats but its a great listen along to podcast
Not a bad way to fill the empty air on the walk/train ride into work!
Been watching Ashes to Ashes, the time travel/in a coma cop series on the Beeb, been following it ever since Life on Mars and its the closest I feel that Television has got close to the video game method of story telling.
Like in Mass Effect as the stories revolve around shepard but the stories of the other characters all link in to the main story before the game can end, Ashes to Ashes does the very same thing
Maybe Television can learn alot from video games after all??
Skill?
Good Stats?
Sportsmanship?
Who knows anymore. With the worst online communities behind MW2, Fifa its a wonder why we ever take our gaming online anymore. Rage Quitters, hackers and glitchers, cheaters and boosters.....it makes you wonder what they get out of it. Its not like they are beating the game, or defeating other skilled players online, a test of skill
But then you fire up something like Super Streetfighter IV, the purest example of online faming, you vs someone else, winner takes all, you can win by sheer skill or luck, it brings on the only challenge a Gamer can appreciate....one on one, better player on the game takes the win
Lets hope that kind of game can rekindle the magic in other online games
