For me it's:

• Atmos-fear (ie, atmosphere (; )
• Sound and eerie and tense music
• More psychological than gore and/or visceral (though all three are required)
• Mysterious and tense, gradually unfolding and twisting, story

The last one I really enjoyed and liked was The Book of Unwritten Tales.

But my personal bests are The Longest Journey, Grim Fandango, Myst, Gemini Rue, Syberia and Dark Fall: The Journal.

Definitely looking forward to it very much.. CoH was (and still is) the best WW2 RTS I've played so far.. And playing a Russian front - yes! ;)
