Seems kind of interesting, in fact some of their other titles are kind of neat. Not sure if I'd dish out the cash for one though, but I bet a couple of those are fun to play around with.

I remember years ago, I had a very basic train dispatch simulator, where you do the track switches, etc. I had got this from a friend of my uncle, who worked for CN rail as a dispatcher. It was kind of neat, especially if you are into trains.

I was watching X-games on TV on the weekend, and the one warm up for one event made me think of an old PC game (early '90s?) that I had, and enjoyed.

In X-games they had guys on dirtbikes going around an obstacle course, that was a dirt course (of course), but they had to negotiate hills, logs, rocks, and do small jumps, etc. On this game I believe you controlled a monster truck type of vehicle around different offroad obstacle courses.

Anyone got any insight on this one?

Hello all, let me give you a bit of the background of this request....

My wife asked me the other day if there was any good "Dungeons & Dragons" type games for PC or PS3, where you can play against others online. I am certain she got this idea from the game they played on the show Big Bang Theory (in one episode Penny gets addicted to this online game). Not sure what game it was (Age of Conan?). I told her I'd look into one and grab one for her (us). She isn't much of a "gamer" by the way, other than Super Mario for Wii, but loves the little Facebook Cityville type games.

So.....onto my question/request:

What would you all recommend me to look into? I don't really want a monthly subscription type game. I want a game where I can pop it into my PS3, or maybe PC and just play.

She asked me if the game is multiplayer (so we could both play at the same time). I don't think there is one like that (like for example you can play 2 players when playing NHL11, or Little Big Planet).

I (for myself for a while) was considering maybe grabbing Demon's Souls.... How much longer are the servers going to be up so we could enjoy this....?

Also - what is Dragon Age like? I see there is a Dragon Age II now.

Is there something else you would recommend? Would something like Warcraft or Guild Wars be more what I am looking for?

Keep in mind I have never played RPGs like these. Myself - I enjoy God of War, Uncharted, Dead Space type games, plus love the online experience of Black Ops.

Thanks in advance!

Mercenaries is pretty good for that I would say. I really enjoyed it, and in fact, almost enjoyed the open free for all aspect of it over the mission based objectives.

Who's saying I didn't read reviews, etc.....? Of course I did, and I've been let down before on a review. What's wrong with mentioning what I enjoy and seeing what others with similar tastes suggest?

Treflis - I plan on getting Uncharted 2 now I finished 1. I think I might give Demon Souls a shot, and a few of the other suggestions too. I think Dante's Inferno has promise too!

Funny hearing people say they "grew up" on MGS series, etc..... heck I "grew up" playing ColecoVision!

I do have NSMB wii, and it is a blast, the whole family enjoys that. LBP looks like it would be a fun family game almost, but from the above comment I am starting to become scepticle about it. Have any of yous plaid Braid? And to who said Dead Space was scary - would this be the "scariest" game out for PS3? I was always wanting to try the Silent Hill series, but heard from some that is was kind of lame.

Just got my PS3 at Xmas... So far have NHL10 (great!), and am currently enjoying Uncharted 1. Plus the BluRay feature is awesome too (5 stars for Planet Earth).

I want help from some with experience to help make a list of games that I may like based on the following aspects of gaming I enjoy:

1) best games for me on PS 2 included God of War I & II (by far the best), Socom type games, RE4 was cool, and currently enjoying Uncharted 1 on PS3.

2) not so sure I would enjoy RPG, like Dragon Age, but am intrigued by Demon Souls, and Dante's Inferno looks promising.

I plan on playing COD: MW soon, and also own BioShock and just purchased Dead Space. So aside from these and GOW III, and also Uncharted 2, what are some suggestions of titles I should enjoy.....? Would also like some input as to some games my wife and daughter would enjoy too. Thinking Little Big Planet may fall into this category, but we also have a Wii with a good assortment of games for that.

In my opinion, I love the last N. American release of EA Sports F1 Challenge (2002 season I think?). It is very realistic, plus there are add-ons/mods available that update each seasons driver lineup, teams, track (new ones and changes), plus car changes too. Playing this game with a wheel is awesome!
