do any of you know of any good racing sims like forza or grand turismo when you can buy numerous cars throughout all the years and custimize them and add engine specs to them?
i just showed my friend this forum and he told me he spent 800 (after rebates) on the system, he is sending back 8gb due to it being hardware reserved and he doesnt feel like dealing with his bios to unlock it, besides 8gb ftw. So he spent around 130 on system accesorries , 3rd party cpu cooler, mouse pad, and fans, and 2.5" mounting brackets, since the SSD didnt come with them. and it is a raid 0 but the ssds also costed the same for a 120gb so no real money loss?? they were 2 60s, and it was not a thousand like originally stated it was ehhh 1037 after all of it, but it is 931 with everything rebated and ram sent back. and then my parents are paying 500 for graduation gift so, how you like them apples all you intel fanboys
[QUOTE="LordRork"][QUOTE="Diwashb"]I acknowledge what u said but I was just trying to say that just for a few seconds of faster load times and boot times, I would not consider an ssd because the cost simply is unjustifiable.Diwashb
But they're not really made for being your primary storage drive - which is why you don't really need to spend a huge amount of money on one unless you're a pro or monumentally lazy when it comes to installing (or flushed with cash). You can spend a fairly small amount of money on a 60-100GB SSD for Windows and your main programs and not really have spent an "unjustifiable" amount.
I have no pressing need for an SSD yet, but as I make my tower a media as well as gaming machine, it would be nice to eliminate the load up time (OK, 1m 30s is hardly a long time, but it is compared to a DVD player).
