First Impressions

Finally! A game that takes advantage of the Wii's control scheme and of the widespread appeal of America's favorite pasttime.

The arcade style puts a unique twist on the game of baseball. However, the arcade style doesn't dilute the actual nature of the great game of baseball.

It obviously offers greater depth than your Wii Sports Baseball. However, the controls are very much different. Other than the standard batting motion, there is a unique motion for everything. It will take you about an hour to get used to it all. However, once you do get the controls down, it all becomes intuitive.

The graphics are at the high end of what the Wii is capable of. The stadiums are all well-detailed. Players are also very well rendered.

I strongly recommend doing the tutorial once or twice to get all the controls down.

That's all I have after about an hour of gameplay. I'll come back later to write a formal review.
