My top 25 games
by TRACY48 on Comments
Well, its the end of the year again so I have to my oblagiatory top 25 list. In its second edition, I now feature N64 games, Super NES, and Genises games. Also playstation games are noticably abscent. This is simply because I dont own any PS consoles. Next-Gen games are also excluded cause I've yet to catch up with technology. Anyway, hope you like...
My Top 25 Games Of All Time
1. Super Metroid (SNES)
"I know no other game that is so throughly enjoyable than Super Metroid. The first encounter with Ridley is a shocker!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening DX (GBC)
"The boss battles in paticular are the most memorial here than in any other Zelda. Also, the many nods to other Nintendo franchises were quite entertaining"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Metroid Prime (GCN)
"This game is just simply one of the best. Aplying the Metroid gameplay to a FPS frame was a genius idea."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Super Smash Bros. Melee (GCN)
"The sequel to the first 4-player fighting game improves upon its predecesor in nearly every way. Each character has his own strength and weakneses."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. Halo: Combat Evolved (Xbox)
"I was surprised how good this game was. It set the standard for all future FPS's. It was origionaly supposed to be an RTS, and in some parts you can tell."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
"This game is what realy kicked the Zelda series.into stardom. The dungeons are not only some of the best not only in the series, but any other game of its time."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. Resident Evil 4 (GCN)
"Spot on pacing, an excellent over-the-shouldercamera scheme and a huge variety of enemies make this one a winner."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8. Super Mario World (SNES)
"Truly a platformer of the ages, the many colectables, secret exits, an great 16-bit graphics put this game a head above the rest."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9. The Legend of Zelda: Orciana of Time (N64)
"Orciana cristalized the vision of a 3D Zelda, and did it so masterfully that it is regarded everywhere as a masterpeice."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10. Kirbys Dreamland III (SNES)
"Because it came so late in the SNES's life, it had possibly the greatest graphics ever pumped out of the system. Plus it had great gameplay to boot!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11. Donkey Kong Country (GBC)
"A port of a fantastic platformer seems even better in new portable form, courtesy of GBC."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
12. Mario Kart DS (DS)
"The best in the Mario Kart series. The WiFi multiplayer was brilliantly executed, and there was also a ton of single player modes too."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
13. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (GCN)
"The new cell-shaded look of Link and his pals made this very stylised game a true work of art."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
14. Sonic & Knuckles (GEN)
"The lush backdrops of this Sonic game gave it a diferent, yet good, feeling to the otherwise industrial stages of the previous iterations."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15. Final Fantasy III (DS)
"As the first time being released in America, FFIII has its flaws, but deep down, it's an old school RPG that just loves chalenging you."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
16. Super Mario All Stars (SNES)
A compilation of the first 3 Marios...what could be better? How about a compilation of the first 3 Marios with enhanced graphics and special features? Sweet!"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
17. Pokemon Silver (GBC)
"In my mind, Silver is the best Pokemon game. Optional puzzles and stuff accentuates a long main quest which realy will make you wanna catch em' all."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
18. Half Life 2 (Xbox)
"This FPS has breathed new life into the ordinarily stale genre. Also Dog, the freindly robot, may be the best sidekick ever."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
19. Super Mario 64 (N64)
"As with the other previosly 2D , but now 3D games from Nintendo, Mario 64 felt like a fresh new experience while keeping true to the original games. As Mario himself would say, 'Lets a go!!' "
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
20. Metroid Prime Hunters (DS)
"Although the single player kinda sucked, the multiplayer in Huntersis were the game realy shines. How can you say no to frantic 4-player WiFi matches?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
21. Donkey Kong 64 (N64)
"Rare works its magic again in this tropical themed 3D platformer. The graphics were good, the controls were solid, and a decent camera topped of a fun experience."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
22. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (SNES)
"This very fun platformer can make even a non-gamer like the Mario series. The crayon style graphics was an especially nice touch."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
23. JSRF: Jet Set Radio Future (Xbox)
"The cell shaded graphics of this platformer-skater hybrid rocked the gaming world. Although the game got some flack for the simplyfied grafiti system, it benifited from the fast paced action."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
24. Super Mario RPG (SNES)
"Once again proving everything Mario touches turns to gold, this action packed RPG even has (then) never before seen 32-bit graphics."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
25.Perfect Dark (N64)
"Rare's classic FPS still packs quite a punch, its multiplayer is quite unparelled. If only the graphics stood the test of time."

Deatn Note Manga!
by TRACY48 on Comments
Yay, Death Note Vol. 8 is finnaly here! If your not a otaku like me, and never heard of this amazing manga, its about this guy, Light Yagami, who is a straight-A student, but he's bored. Anyway he finds this black notebook, the death note, which has the power to kill people if you write their names in. He also meets the previous owner of the death note, Ryuk, who is a Shinigami, a Death God. At first Light uses the notebook for good, like executing criminals, to make the world an ideal place. He gets chased around by the police and trys to elude capture. Anyway, the art is great, done by the famed Takashi Obata, and the story has so many twists and turns you'll think youl throw up. Where was I? Oh yeah, this manga is good, go buy a copy.
The Different Kind of Gamers
by TRACY48 on Comments
Level 1. Ninja Dog
You are a occasional gamer, yet you dont spend much on new games and consoles. It's your hobby, not your life.
Level 2. Goomba
Much more involved in games than the Ninja Dog, you will buy expensive stuff, but be occasionaly ripped off due to your lack of common gamer knowledge.
Level 3. Catucar
Playing games occasionaly, you may get far in one, yet lack the dedication to beat it. You may also have a adversion to complex fighting games and RPGs.
Level 4. Tingle
You perfer multiplayer games, where your friends can join in the action. Quirky, crazy party games are your favorites so your WarioWare games are always at hand.
Level 5. Guitar Hero
Energized by the radiation from the TV, you play games in all genres and have a lot of versitality. You may also like breaking a sweat while playing games like DDR.
Level 6. Red XIII
Now this is what were talking about! You perfer picking a certain game and beating the crap out of it until moving on to the rest of your collection. RPG's and other long games are your forte'.
Level 7. Solid Snake
A very hardcore gamer, you only buy quality accesories for your games and probably grew up with classic games like Mario, and sure enough, Mr. Snake.
Level 8. Hammer Bro.
You perfect every game you get, love beating noobs at fighting games, and playing online like a maniac. You also have a soft spot for Mario. You know you just want to pick up every new Mario game.
Level 9. Bounty Hunter
Ridiculiously obsesed with action-adventure games, all FPS's and all things Metroid. You probably like setting records and doing speed runs. You also have a bad habbit of playing the game for either a ridicoulously short (20min) or long (5 hours) time.
Level 10. Hero of Time
Do you need to make me explain this one to you? You love Zelda and other great franchises in many genres, but at some you may horribly suck. However you make this up for by creating a great tequniqe in others . Hero's of Time come in many forms, but they all share the same qualities: Great gaming skilz!
