Point and Laugh at the Rest of the World

Why, you may ask, am I pointing and laughing at the rest of the world? Because...

I have a snow day!!!

Muahahahaha... I win!! What will I do on this day of freedom, you ask? WATCH DVD BOX SETS, OF COURSE!!! so now I point and laugh at you all who do not have a snow day.

QUESTION TIME: What do you do on snow days? Have you ever had a snow day? Are you in the part of the world that is having a snow day with me?

OMG... Angels & Airwaves... 2!!!

So, last weekend I MET AVA, and let me tell you, they are fantastic. Especially the one going by the name of David Kennedy. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

First of all, let me tell you that I was incredibly glad that it wasn't cold. We ended up waiting outside the "Recording Studio" for TWO HOURS! I say "Recording Studio" because we almost missed the place. It literally looked like a beige brick box. If it wasn't for the radio station's car out front, we would have totally missed it! The people waiting with us were nice, and we saw one of them later... but I'm again getting ahead of myself.

Now, after waiting for FOREVER for AVA to get there, when we finally got in, we were treated with the opportunity of a lifetime. AVA are possibly the funniest guys out there. I took tons of pictures, and if I wasn't a freak, I would show ya all some of them... maybe I'll have them here eventually. But anyways, I figure the best way to go about this is to describe each of them.

Starting with TOM DELONGE! All I can say is HILLARIOUS!! He was constantly cracking jokes and being really relaxed. Considering that it was very early for them (1:30 PM), they were really nice about it. His starbucks coffee, and after every song, and each little joke or answer to a question, he would take a sip. I kept trying to get a shot of him actually drinking the coffee, but I kept missing. Still bummed about that... and not requesting "Lifeline." And after signing autographs, he doodled on the photo that they give you, giving all the band members ridiculous hats and stuff. Wish I got a picture of that too... oh, well. Very funny man.

Next, we will go to Guitar Player Matt Watcher. He wasn't all that crazy... pretty laid back and fairly shy if you ask me. Nice, though. Especially with my chest crushed into his during the photo. He was cool, though.

Moving on, we have Atom Willard. He was absolutely adorable. He was a kind-of small guy, but very cute. Atom was nice enoough to sign both of my CDs. We will love him for all of eternity. I kept trying to get a shot of him when he was playing, and I must have tried like 20 times. Every time, he would be looking down or the stupid mike would get majorly in the way. It took me some time, but I did get a couple good pictures of him playing. And by a couple I mean two. AND WE HAD THE SAME CAMERA!! HOW COOL!

Finally, we have the most gorgeous man alive... David Kennedy!! I will definitely share with the world a picture of this man. Now, I am about 5'5". I had on 3.5" heels. The man was still a foot taller than me... AT LEAST!! That may lend him some major points on the already high value he had on the GORGEOUS scale. He was possibly the only reason I would want to live... and he's single. We spent five minutes talking about their love lives... specifically how he couldn't keep a girlfriend. Which is more than fine by me. He was a great guy, and I loved every second of it and ideally, he will stay that way. He also had a very nice jacket. I didn't smell him though, so I have no words to tell you on that (it's an obsession I can't explain). AND HIS PANTS FIT!!! (another obsession I can't explain. another one is hair... David had great hair too). But that's not even the best part of this man that makes me one of those ridiculous fans that wants to marry them. You see, before he knew my age, HE WAS HITTING ON ME!! Right before I came up to him to ask for his photo, he asked me "How old are you?" And this was not in the "you are sooo young" tone of voice. No, this was in the "Are you legal?" kind of voice. This was slightly unnerving, and for the rest of my life I will never understand why I told the truth. When we took a picture of him, my friend, and myself, I CLOSED MY EYES!!!! Can you believe it?! But it was quickly remedied. When we took a picture of him, Matt, and myself, he was totally pressing against me and squishing me into oblivion. My back was to him, so he didn't knotice my chest being squished. Needless to say, it is now my background for what will probably be forever. And the great picture I got of him at the concert. He had a great jacket too, and if I knew him just a little bit more, I would have pretended to steal, and/or borrow. It was great.

Yes, I am now a squealing girl that gets excited by the mere mention of David Kennedy. Just writing this makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

The concert itself was really great. We sat in the balcony, which was a bummer, but it was still great. Tom is such a performer. You should really try to see one of their concerts. It's something you just can't explain. Soooo great. And David was gorgeous too. It was too bad I was sitting at the opposite end of the theatre. Toward the end of the concert my camera started to die, so I took like 10 pictures of him in a row (snapsnapsnapsnapsnap...) before turning it off. That's where I got the amazing photo of him.

It was absolutely the most amazing thing I have ever done or seen in my entire life!!!

OMG... Angels & Airwaves

So... I am a pretty big Angels & Airwaves fan, and they are coming to "the D" (if you don't know what that means, you're not from around here or haven't been here) next week. And guess who won tickets on the radio? Can't guess?

ME!!!!

You could not meet a more excited person in your entire life. Admittedly, the guy said my name wrong, and I said "Oh my God, thank you" like a billion times, but it was worth it. I GOT TICKETS TO THE CONCERT!!!!

But that's not even the best part. I GET TO MEET THE BAND!!!!!!! Somewhere about an hour away I get to meet them and have an acoustic set!!! Oh my gods, I am the happiest person alive.

And one of my best friends gets to come with me!!! She is in college now (sadly I'm only a senior), but she will be home then! She's home now! Maybe she can help me bleach my hair before we go (I bleach my bangs platinum like Rogue in X-men).

An unfortunate thing happened though. I have their cd's, and I was all excited, when I realized that I LOST THEIR NEWEST CD!!!!!! My gods was I upset. Fortunately a couple of days ago I found it. We're on midwinter break now, and it is a good thing I didn't have to stress out about that over the time I have off. I'd rather spend it stressing about schoolwork.

I will give a post after the concert to tell you all HOW AMAZING IT WAS and WHAT ANGELS & AIRWAVES ARE LIKE IN PERSON!!! I GET TO MEET THEM!!!

Back to the Movies

Guess what? I'm going home!!! This Sunday I will be returning home, and as a result I will be giving you my opinion of all the movies that I will be seeing. I know! It's so exciting. And in a bit, I will give ya all the reason behind my oh-so-provocative icon. It will take a while for me to put all of my opinions on "paper", so it will be a long one. I know you can't wait to see why I hate Harry Potter that much. See ya soon.

A Bazillion Channels, and Nothing to Watch... Untill Now

This is a sick and twisted thing. One would not think that it is really true, but today I have found it to be the truth. My most interesting idea is that I would create a channel that was literally dictated by the viewers. Okay, a bunch of channels. They would be categorized according to genre, or whatever, and you could vote on what you wanted to be on the channel. I haven't figured out all of the details, and that's where all of you come in. I'm not so good on the whole planning thing, so I will need all of you random people out there to help me out. You have to admit, it's a good idea.

Oh... The Past

I have recently gone on a major history kick. I have found a revived love for all things I watched in the past, and some things I didn't watch. It is oh so strange. The most prevalent is Sailor Moon. I used to watch it every day after school on Toonami. And then it was on before Toonami, and then it disapeared for what I thought would be forever. Thank You Internet!!!!! I can now watch all that stuff that brings such fond memories.

the AMC blues

I am away from the north to take a break in sunny tennessee, and I have learned something terrible: there isn't a single AMC theatre within a 40 mile radius of where I'm staying. This is going to kill me. I am but 2 points away from free food, and I have to wait until I go home! With over 15 movies I want to see coming out this summer, the opportunity for free stuff was going to be enormous. Now I won't be able to get anything for almost a month! I may just die of grief. I realize that not many people care about my problems, but I thought everyone who is a MovieWatcher should know: don't think about getting any points, because they don't have an AMC theatre in Tennessee.

House Season Finale

Is anyone else disappointed with the season finale but me?  I was totally expecting more than that.  These writers are crazy.  I thought the show would be real cool, him trying to cross the boarder and all to see House, but come on.  That was really weak.  Someone should do something.

Bones Season Finale

I had a great vision that Brennan and Booth would finally get together then, but then it hit me.  The only way those two would ever have the chance to be together would be if they weren't partners anymore.  It's ok for Angela and Hodgens, their jobs don't rely on keeping the other safe.  Brennan and Booth rely on each other for each others' safety, and to have a deeper relationship would put both of them at risk.  This revelation has deeply troubled me.

On a similar note, the first episode of Season 3 will be so anticlimactic we will want to cry.  It will probably be something along the lines of "Well, you heard what they said.  Let's go to the reception.  I sampled the cake, it was great."  So depressing.

Even more depressing is that the Season 2 DVD won't come out until NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!  I am distraught to the point of no return.  My friends are finally into the show, and they can't see what happened that led to the giant fiasco of now.  So sad.  We should complain.

Good luck to all, don't die.

Me

We'll Miss You Veronica Mars

I am one of the poor unfortunate souls to get on the VM bandwagon a bit too late.  I am devoted to HOUSE, so I never had the chance to watch it on tv.  I bought the dvd box sets and enjoyed them fully.  It is disgusting that I am forced to say goodbye to such a great thing.  I just wanted to enjoy your witty banter and crazy love hexagons.  And now you disappear.

I want to say that I loved you, and if there was ever a chance to resurrect you from your current predicament, then I would go for it.  Many people love you, and you have become a cult favorite that will forever be in our hearts.  Thank you for all of the joy you have given to myself and countless others.
