If you didn't play the other games & understood in great detail each one's storyline, then yea...I don't blame you. You play MGS4 for storyline, appreciation for technical beauty, & slow/stealth gameplay. Otherwise, your much better off just renting it or not even bothering.

I don't know if this matters, but I accidentally bought the expansion packs using someone else's game character (but I used my PSN account). I had to create a brand new character, buy a brand new character slot, but the G,M,S packs don't show!! The whole setup for MGS4 Online play is frustrating & ridiculous...any help is greatly appreciated.
Honestly I think it'd be best if they do. With the recent announcement of so many great games for the portable (LittleBigPlanet, Soul Calibur, Jak & Daxter, Tekken 6, Kingdom Hearts etc.) having an equally impressive hardware announcement would really make up for the last year or so of PSP suckage.
It doesn't need a new analog nub...that'd just upset the current PSP investors & might cause complications w/ programmers 'n what not. If your talking about PSP2, I'd be a little apprehensive...after all, games on the PSP still look pretty good (after all, just look at DS games...it looks like GBA w/ 2 screens) and it has the multi-purpose features that so many brand new handhelds are just coming out w/ now. A new PSP-4000 would be cool...the slide-screen feature would be nice & an actual built-in camera would be cool to combat the DSi camera feature. Whatever happens, I'm just glad I have over 6 games to look forward to for my PSP :-)
I really liked your thoughts...why haven't you made it into a review yet?
My only argument is that while its a good game, it's honestly not meant for a "portable exerpience." After all, many people have pointed out that you have to have headphones & be in the dark. I've tried playing this on roadtrips and I quickly loose interest in it. Usually it's late at night & when I'm to lazy to go into the living room do I actually play this game. Can't wait for SH: Shattered Memories!
So which Metal Gear Solid title do you think was the best one out of the whole entire franchise? Was it the first one because of the iconic FoxHound group? The second because of the awesome cinematic opening? The third because of its Cold War/Bond style? Or the fourth, purely because its wrapped up loose ends with ease?
For me, "Snake Eater" was the best game I've ever played to date. The Boss, for one thing, is the greatest character ever, while everyone else was almost equally profound in their own way. The music composed was equal to a high-calibur, Hollywood 007 film. The storyline could beat out almost all Hollywood produced films today. Oh yea, and the gameplay was really in-deph, from using cameo, wearing disguises, scaling mountain cliffs, and fighting off the bizarre yet extremely fun "Cobra Unit." I hope one day they remake this for the PS3
