Well get rid of MMOs, then you'll have so much more time for everything else.

Farcry

When you're done killing, you can get a tan on the beach! And drive buggies around like a maniac while hunting wild pigs when you're done and crispy!

During the z-buffering process, the higher the resolution you have (along with more detail in the actual game), the more processing power you need to z-buffer into a 2-D image in order to translate to your screen. Everything involving your GPU will be involved in the resulting frame render. So---------------- if your graphics card doesn't have the ROPs (Render Output Processors) to do the task, lol you're ******.

Yeah Ubisoft should be at the top of the list for the worst effort in making Wii games. Although it's funny that the worst looking and running FPS on the Wii so far - Far Cry Vengence, actually has the best controls of any Wii FPS so far.

My current opinion:

Nintendo Wii - stand in for a Gamecube until more good Wii games come out.
Xbox 360 - Better
PS2 - Even better than 360
PC - Owns all other gaming platforms.

Those areas are not as pre-manufactured as you think as you can still do the third person shooting style when you go into aiming mode. The reason it can look so good as all the console's horsepower go into rendering a single room instead of large open areas. Notice how Leon went through a couple rooms and there was another load time. All the RAM is being poored into those textures, bumpmapped and all and such, but it takes a hit on the RAM.

If you want to start a thread about best looking GC titles then I can start off with two games:

Resident Evil 4
- Best overall looking game on the GC in terms of realism. Makes use of pretty much every bit of horsepower and every graphics feature of the system.

Super Mario Sunshine
- Best looking water effects on the GC by far. Proved very in early in the GC's life that it was capable of some amazing shader effects, especially when done with a bit of ingenuity. Showcased real-time reflections, and high level shader code.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II - Early GC game that showed off the system's ability to do bumpmaps and environmental maps as well as dynamic lighting and dynamic shadowing on a very large scale.

Even with an extra 50% of horsepower (we know it's more than that), just think how much prettier these games could look.

Well I am pretty convinced that the 360 could've ran F.E.A.R. with soft shadowing, yet it seems that feature was left out either because the 360 really couldn't handle it with stability or they were just too lazy. But also I've noticed on PC, F.E.A.R. refuses to run both anti-aliasing and soft shadowing at the same time, when I set FSAA with soft shadows, the soft shadows don't show up, but the FSAA does.

Do I have to force FSAA through my graphics settings menu on my desktop?

lol no offense but you sound real geeked up on this game
it looks neat, I've never played ace combat before. It hasn't made it on my wish list yet though.ag1002

I'm a huge fan of the series. It may not be exactly realistic, but the games as a whole really suck me in and are alot of fun :D

So no offense taken, it's the truth I'm a geek for AC like you're probably a geek for Halo :P

Another thing is I've lucked out on my investment on a 360 instead of a PS3, as I never had an Xbox, and I was a bit weary on not getting a PS3, but it seems that the PS3 really doesn't have much appeal for me anymore. Only thing now to really just throw me away from the PS3 is if MGS4 comes to the 360.
