It's so great seeing the next installment, and the inclusion of online play is going to make it the best Ace Combat ever I'm hoping. Let's also see more of that badass flying aircraft carrier and fictional fighters! I really am anticipating this game to be the one that leads out of the current "era" of Ace Combat (a similar world to our own) and into the more future era that embodied Ace Combat 3 as all the Ace Combat games do take place in the same world, even the ones on the Playstation 1. In the "sixth" (or should I say eighth installment?) of the series this is where I expect the rise of the Super Conglomerates whose pure economic might and political power create not wars based on nationality or country but based on the conglomerates themselves, a la Ace Combat 3. The first sign of that lead was in Ace Combat 5 in the end where the objective was to take down Grunder Industries whose rumored to become the General Resource Megaconglomerate present in AC3.

Ooh boy this is so exciting! I got my special copy with the Flight Stick 2 bundle and everything pre-ordered!

The game could run on the Wii, just would have to be dumbed down on all the fronts to make it run. I expect it to show up on the Wii.

I hate the whole Hardcore-Casual threads or saying wii destroys hardcore.
We're all gamers aren't we :?Lto_thaG

Well some gamers prefer much higher difficulty or more in depth gaming that casual gamers tend to avoid due to the time and complication associated with those more "hardcore" games. I like it when games are a mediary between the two by making a game accessible to more casual audiences yet it still maintains hardcore features such as a collection system or much higher difficulties, etc. I've always been an Ace Combat fan and those games (the PS2 ones) tend to do a great job of being accesible, yet for myself I can really ramp up the difficulty and try to acquire all the aircraft, paint jobs for each aircraft, and all the weapons rather than just play the game and put it down when I beat it.

At least I can still get my hardcore gaming fix on PC though :P

How well do you think a DX9 game like such will translate into OpenGL? Well either way I hope that Mac players can join in on the action with Windows players. And if EA was too make a Mac version, why not a Linux one? I'd love to say I play Battlefield on Ubuntu :P
