FF dilemma

I know this topic is done with almost all the time but hey, that time I didn't consider playing Final Fantasy. Heck, I never even play any FF games. Lots of my friends said I couldn't be consider a gamer if I hadn't triy FF. That's just nonsense! :x

Years by years, I ignored those unreasonable remarks. But for now.. Let's just say I now have a different views on FF. So... On my shelf lies FF7, FF8 and FF9. I really want to know what is so great about the world-acclaimed best RPG Final Fantasy.  From where I read, FF in PS was revolutionary.

So I took whatever I can to take my hands on those FFs. In the end I got them :D But... Now I had a real problem.. Which FF should I start first? I read somewhere at a really biased website that FF7 is the best FF ever. In my opnioin, I think it's overrated. But I might be wrong :?

Then there was FF8 which has a love theme story. Well.. This kinda puts me off. I mean I'm not really into romance stuff. I'm okay with a bit of romance in a story but to make it as the main theme.. That's kinda discouraging. Nonetheless I do read that the gameplay's awesome and so is the story??

Whereas FF9 had FF classic elements, right? I heard that FF9 was a whole bunch of fun and was a great change from the futuristic approach the FF take from the previous inatallment and not to mention, there's lots of improvement graphic-wise and gameplay-wise. If that is so, then why the heck did GameSpot gave it a lower rating than FF8 and FF7. This got me really confused..

All in all, I'm in a dilemma!! I want to start with the best FF in PS as it'll then motivate to play the other FFs. What should I do :x

Game Isolation

My parents completely fobid me from playing games!! Only PS2 and Gamecube though. They know GBA and DS are a lot more tolerable than PS2 so they left them alone.

Arggh!! GBA and DS are fun and all but PS2 and GC are where the gamer's skill are really put to test. I'll miss seeing the wide graphic on my TV. Now I'll just have to deal with looking at an itty bitty screen (Yeah, I'm exaggerating..)

And what was the cause of this? It's SCHOOL EXAMS!:x I know it's like 3 months away but that's no reason to isolate from my beloved games!:( All the good titles are coming soon too like Okami, Rogue Galaxy, Legend of Zelda, Disgaea 2, Final Fantasy XII.. And it goes on..

I have to tolerate this until mid November! I can't wait that long! Got to convince my parents game is actually good for something. Think I've to find a good article containing about the advantages of games.. Yeah.. That's it. That's what I'll do..

For real?

I just surf the youtube.com and just couldn't believe it! Pokemon Pearl and Diamond is coming soon? Yeah I'm a pokemon fan for.. err.. as long as I can remember :P Back to my topic, there are even commercials and gameplay movies about it (in Japanese, granted)

It look exciting but in the same way, it disappoint me a bit. I hope there's a whole lot of new gameplay systems for the DS version. I remember reading somewhere they want to released both in GBA and DS version. Hope it won't turned the same way as Sims:Urbz. The DS and GBA version are exactly the same! Gameplay, graphic and all except to some screeen touch but that' it! :evil:Why buy the DS version if you can buy the GBA one which had the exact same quality (and is a lot cheaper)?

In midst of me surfing the youtube.com I catch some mario:3on3 DS trailer or so I think... It look cool but hard as well. To dribble, I have to tap the screen ? Lots of wrist strains. I also saw mama cooking (or is it the other way round..) Looks like a game my lil sis will like. Too kiddy for my own taste. Least it teaches on how to cook. This game is definitely for those who doesn't do much in the kitchen. I'm included :roll:Yeah it has a lot of good points but there are other, better DS games out there. Such as Children of Mana, Final Fantasy 3, Phoenix Wright:JTA, Pokemon Pearl.. to say a few..

(Sigh) Dilemma, dilemma. The wishlist just keep growing.. :?

This and a whole lot of THAT

(Sigh) When I just sit down, really thinking ahead, I never did realised what a busy end year this gonna be. I have a lot of things of what I want do this year. It hurts to say I'm having my Olevel exam this year. So, Have to maintain my top grades to please my parents.. Yeah, yeah.. The least I can do after what they've done for me :)

Enough about school! Now to the most important subject.. Games!! It's right to say there's a lot of cool games to play this year! Not to mention, Wii and PS3 are coming soon! :D

Here's the thing, money is the problem. (The root of all evil!) There's a lot of games all right.. but it's the cha-ching which prevent me from all this. Well, for games.. Should be fine, I mean, there's a lot of piracy in my country. Call me weird or whatcamacallit, it doesn't feel right if I'm playing piracy games (Yeah I once bought those piracy games) If you beat the game, you don't feel those great undescribable feelings. Instead you get, 'Well, that's over' Sheesh, never will bought those pirates goods again. But if circumstances arose.. You'll never know what happen.. :?

And then there's.. Whoops.. Gotta  go. Writer block (like I'm a one..) Can't really think under an empty stomach. Better eat dinner
