Unlimited download limit, who doesn't have this by now?clembo1990Unlimited download is last gen. Next Gen is download limit caps. How do you think the best ISPs maintain those super high download/upload rates?

[QUOTE="Tarutaru001"][QUOTE="MortalDecay"]My ISP doesn't cap our internet. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.MortalDecayMust be one of the crappy ISPs, or one that has one of those hidden caps. 8mb down (soon to be 10), 1mb up (sure there are better out there, but when you live in a small town, that's a damn good speed). Never have problems. I've been with them for about 4 years now. And they don't have hidden caps... What's it to you anyways? Is that jealousy I detect? How would you know unless you hit the hidden cap? All ISPs have a cap, whether hidden or public. If you hit a hidden cap, you get a nice letter or phone call urging you to change your download habits... followed by a lack of internet service for a while. XD

You definitely are. But don't get to comfy. Now that Comcast is going with nationwide caps and people haven't revolted, AT&T, Time Warner and others have announced plans to extend or introduce caps on their services as well.
Unfortunately, Service caps are gonna be the standard in the U.S. within the next couple years.
And yeah, that will slow the adoption rate of DD considerably...
No it won't. People will just pay the surplus charges. My ISP doesn't cap our internet. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.MortalDecayMust be one of the crappy ISPs, or one that has one of those hidden caps.
Why? Internet caps keep download speeds high. Without them, bandwidth hogs would drag down download speed.man people really need ot protest this before it becomes completely standard
