I play it every now and then. A few years ago, though, I'd play it everyday. It was so fun back then since it was probably the only simple life-sim game out there.  Managing furniture, running errands, looking for places where there was something buried, and much more was so addictive to me. It remains a relic in many's eyes across of my own.

I'd say that the Gamecube SYSTEM is dead, as in very few would still want to purchase one.  But I also think that many Gamecube games won't die for a long time.  SSBM is a great example of how active some Gamecube players still are.  Thousands of people worldwide still love and adore the game, meaning  some Gamecube games  are virtually immortal.

If you're looking for a roleplaying game, go for Tales of Symphonia as it's an RPG that gives a lot to the player. You can probably find it at your average video game store for $30 at the most.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is my favorite.  It was the game that made me want an XBox since Gamespot said it was best on Xbox haha.

Thank you all very much.  This was the exact kind of feedback I was searching for.  Looks like I'll have a lot of bargain bin searching to do in order to find these game. Haha

So far, I've tried:

KH Series
Star Ocean
Rogue Galaxy
Breath of Fire: DQ

I know that list is halfway to microscopic, but that's pretty much the reason I'm here typing right now. I'd like some reccomendations for the PS2. I'm a sucker for great storylines and love connections. I love my RPGs LENGHTY, a satisfying amount of content, some sidequests and some feeling of customization are OK, but its quite alright without them.

I know that there have been MANY underrated RPGs out there for the PS2, so lets get started! Thanks heaps

Just as everyone else has stated in some form, the gamecube SYSTEM has died, but the games will live on.  There are many people around the world that still cherish their gamecube games and will surely play them forever.  SSBM is a great example; released six years ago and yet still hasn't died. If you look on the gamefaqs messageboards, SSBM is still the #1 Gamecube messageboard.
