I have the Samsung LE 32" R75 with VGA, 1360x768p selected in Xbox 360 and is perfect for all games.

The HDMI is only a escuse for movie providers that need change of DVD to HD-DVD or BD for sale all the same other time.but this time, with copy protecction thank´s HDCP of HDMI. The 1080p is sufficient for buy all other time,by my, no.

Conclusion, if my HD Ready TV have 1360x768 px in screen of resolution, i no need hdmi for downgrade to 1280x720p.. i select by VGA the 1360x768p and have the same resolution that my HDTV screen.
