No prone??? Oh no! Why is prone so important to PC gamers, at no point during Crysis did I go prone, not once. It just seems like such a stupid thing to bring up when one of, if not the, most popular online Multiplayer FPS Counter Strike has no prone function.bobbetybob

There's plenty of situations where you need to go prone, like hiding from gunfire or sniping. Crysis is supposed to be about freedom, i should be able to go almost anywhere and not be blocked by invisible walls, and I should be able to move like I want. It's not a deal breaker, but I still miss it.

Have you played Crysis on max? I've played it on medium, to high, to max, as I upgraded certain components, even on medium, Crysis looked better. This is 4 YEARS later, does this look like its 4 YEARS better than Crysis 1? We're talking what used to be an ENTIRE generation of consoles. No, it absolutely does not. Its VERY obvious Cryengine 3 was a console engine, and from day one I was afraid it would not possibly look better than Crysis 1. Console port or not, it looks significantly worse than Crysis 1, and its FOUR YEARS later.

I suggest you play it again on medium or high, it does NOT look better than those shots. And those shots are running at DX9 high settings. Very high is where it's at.

Same thing with The Darkness, you don't get the full story just like that. There's a backstory to why you suddely spawn The Darkness

Ah you mean because of the age of the character?

Well, it's more than that. There's a comic with the game (I think you unlock it) that explains how The Darkness infected your ancestor

Emotional grispping is not the right word for dark sector's story. You have to play it multiple times to understand exactly what is going on. There are bits and pieces of information here and there. Personally i found the darkness to be pretty average with amazing graphics and crappy aiming. I mean, you just walk up some stairs and suddenly you get tentacles with teeth coming out of your back. What an un-epic way to get your powers.dakan45

First of all, its been a very long time since i played the original riddick. I have the darkness on ps3 and the aiming is crap. Dark sector was awesome on pc. Perfect control, well optimized and admitedly i liked the story much better than the darkness. To me, both starbreeze and DE are weak. I wouldnt say one has "Accomplished" more than the other.

I agree that The Darkness has bad aiming on consoles, a PC version would have fixed that. But Dark Sector having a better story then The Darkness? Whaaaaaaat. No other game I've played has such an emotinal gripping story as The Darkness, plus the voice acting is superb and the soundtrack amazing

It's not that gamers hate changes, they hate bad changes. Like taking out dedicated servers, or prone, or lean.

If only they made some GOOD changes instead of bad ones

I love the first game but new developer and new engine? Can't be good.

Judging from that screenshot I think it's running on unreal engine 2.5, which is an awful engine.
