Yeah, tried that, but I'll give it another shot. $40 is a bit much for another one...=(

My Wii-mote is experiencing difficulties. When I turn on the system, everything is fine. It can point and click, and responds to movement fine, but everytime I boot a game, it stops reacting to motions. (ie: in Madden, it won't hike the ball, in Strikers it won't check, and in Wii Sports, my Mii just swings, and swings at nothing, without anyone touching the remote.) I've pulled the batteries and replaced them with fresh ones, re-synced the remote and powered the system down for 5 minutes...Anything else I should try before giving in and buying a new Wii-mote?

Cool, thanks everyone. Sorry, MS really has me paranoid about buying new consoles lately. (I've had 2 360's thus far).

Hey there, I just bought a PS3 and have a quick question about the system...I've notced that it tends to get quiet warm and unlike the 360, (which you can hear the fans throughout 2 levels of my house,) I can't really hear much in the PS3...every once in a while I can hear a humming, but don't really know if that's normal. The only game I own if Fight Night Rd. 3 so far, and that game obviously puts the system to work, quite a bit...but I've noticed small amounts of slow-down and stutters, and just wondered if this was normal, or a result of the console overheating. The console is well kept in an open space...No flaming please, this is an honest question.

Before anyone says "the disc might be in the wrong way", its not, its in the right way. I've had it happen to me in these two ways. Now, here is my problem:

I go into Mii and mess around for about 5 minutes. I go back to the main menu and try to load the game that’s in my Wii. It sounds like its going to load, but then it sounds like it is struggling and I get a black screen with disc error.

Next, when I eject the game disc and power the Wii off, the next time I turn it on, it automatically takes the disc in. Again, it sounds like its loading, but it sounds like its struggling to load, then black screen with disc error.

Now, what’s going on? Anyone have the same problem. I contacted Nintendo and they said they will send me a new one, but I don’t want to risk getting a refurb when I just paid for a new one.

I've got this problem too...usually only happens a couple of times but is fine after the first two...Annoying, but I don't think there's a quick fix for it...Unfortunately, I bought mine off Ebay, so I don't have a valid store receipt...the help desk at Nintendo basically told me I'm SOL and to see if I can contact the seller for a refund. Yeah...that'll work.
