Okay guys, Snake has had really easy enemies so far. But that will soon change on round 3. From the looks of the votes so far, our Ultimate Hero is going to fight Gordan Freeman. Finally, a tough enemy. Freeman has a strong support group, but not nearly as strong as Snake. So promote Snake as much as possible and get him to the top where he belongs!

I have decided to start reviewing the books I read here on GameSpot (since there is a site for movies and games, but not books :() I have developed a system for doing this: I will give a score from 1 to 10 based on how good it is, just like GS (10 being perfect, 1 being terrible). I will give a score for the following things: Plot, Setting, Characters, Action/Suspense and Interesting. I will then give the book some comments and a final score. Please enjoy my reviews and comment on anything I should add/change to them.

Book: Shadowfires

Author: Dean Koontz

Plot: 8/10

Setting: 7/10

Characters: 9/10

Action/Suspense: 7/10

Interesting: 10/10

Comments: Shadowfires is a great book. I had a very difficult time putting it down. The plot is superb and keeps you interested until the very end. While the second half is as suspenseful as the first half, but that's because the major secrete is revealed in the first half. The setting is over used and the action is no where near as good as the plot, but Koontz still manages to make them exciting with his original and creative take on them making them better than what would happen if normal others wrote in this way. Another great part about Shadowfires is the characters. I really felt like I knew these characters by the time I got to the end of the book (which is not an easy thing to do, but Koontz always nails it in all of his books). You can feel how scared Rachel is at the start of the book (half way through you see why and not blame her for it), you'll develop a sense of hatred for Anson Sharp the corrupt DSA agent and sense the conflict in his assistant agent as he sees Sharp doing these evil deeds. And some of the best part of the book is when reading about the Shadowfires and how they make [blank] feel (I can't tell as it would spoil the awesome story :P) In the end, yo have to read Shadowfires if you love to read suspense or mystery novels. These are the kind of books that don't get very much hype, but deserve more hype than the books that get all of it (da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, etc.). If you have been thinking about reading a Dean Koontz book, I recommend this highly (The Good Guy is also a great Koontz book, btw)

Soap, who I thought was dead, is also back in action, fighting Russians again. No campaign co op, but a new Special Forces mode, which should be a lot like the Mile High Club. This keeps looking better and better by the day!!!!

CoD: Cold Warfare??? (WTF)

It looks like CoD: WaW will be the last WWII game in the CoD series :-( (rest in peace WWII games). Treyarch may be taking their next CoD to Vietnam, during the Cold War. That would be a nice change of pace and would be cool also.

I just found out that they are in the process of making a movie of Rainbow Six and Without Remorse, which are two of my favorite books of all time. Rainbow Six will come out in 2010 and Without Remorse is in 2011. Rainbow Six will be directed by John Woo. I am totally pumped for these, even thought we have to wait one year for Rainbow Six and two years for Without Remorse, it is still good that they are making them. If any of you have not read either one of these books, then I would recommend them highly. Until next time,

My stupid Xbox 360 broke, so I am going to take the moment to sell it and buy a PS3. This is good and bad, good because I can play PS3 only games like MGS 4, Resistance and Killzone 2, but bad because I have to leave all of my friends on Xbox LIVE.
