I can remember Adventures In The Magic Kingdom for NES.

I also remember it being a pain in the posterior in difficulty LOL.

PC: Death Rally, Escape Velocity: NOVA

NES: Street Fighter 2010

SNES: Super Mario All Stars + World ; I call this a hidden gem because I don't think many people appreciated what they got in one cartridge when it came out.

Genesis: Eternal Champions (Severely Underrated)

N64: Winback, Army Men: Air Assault

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Super Ghosts N Goblins on the SNES. I wanted to throw my controller through the window EVERY time I played that game when I was a kid.

Then again, you could say that for pretty much any arcade port that came down the pipeline. Arcade machines were made to be quarter eaters, after all.

I owned the N64 when it was a current gen console. Later on in my high school years, I had the pleasure of trying out the PS1 (PSX, whatever)

Perhaps my opinon is skewed, but I liked the PS1 better. To me, subjectively of course, the N64 seemed to be a big disappointment. To me, the controller was clunky and awkward, and while the cornerstone titles Nintendo put out were well done, there were plenty of junker games that spolied the libary (note to games industry; having a high number of titles for your game console does not mean you have a good console) The sound quality, for the most part, seemed inferior to me compared to the PS1, which had the capability of digital audio, instead of MIDI.

The PS1 had the ability to be more, especially with the use of CD-ROM's. I will not include the library of games as a objective part of my opinon, because that would be talking out of my rear. The game library that both systems have had some great games and some crappy games. I will say that Nintendo had continued success with its well-known franchises (Zelda, Mario, etc.) while Sony had great success with relatively unknown titles (Metal Gear, Twisted Metal, Spyro, etc.)

It's easier to make money on a business when you've already had your products for awhile, as opposed to introducing a new business with a similar product to compete with it. However, if you are on top of the heap in your business, be careful not to stagnate or someone will come and topple you off the heap (I'm looking at you Nintendo, with the Gamecube and Wii, and probably, the Wii U)

Even when I was a kid, I didn't buy into the fanboy arguments (I'm talking NES/Master System days guys). I guess its natural, especially for a kid, that if they have a console, and they are gettting into an argument with another who has a different console, they will defend the honor of their console as if their lives (or realistically, gamer coolness) depended on it.

I will conceed that the N64 was a good console for its gen, considering the the Sega Saturn, Atari Jaguar, 3DO, and the PlayStation were its competitors. (Fifth-gen gaming, of course) But greatest? No.

If we were talking about the greatest of the group in terms of hardware performance, the Saturn would win.

In terms of overall gaming sales, the PlayStation wins, selling over 100 million consoles, worldwide - as compared to Nintendo's 32 million.

In terms of selling the most of a single cartridge, the Nintendo wins with Super Mario 64 @ nearly 12 million cartridges.

Interesting fact, out of the worldwide sales of the N64 (32 million), about 20 million was sold in North America alone.

The PS1 came out first in the fifth gen, dominated the market, and no other console could remotely catch up during the era. The PS1, imo wins its gen.

When I read this title, it totally made me picture Roger Rabbitt saying it. "But Eddie, PLLLEEEEEAAASEE!"

Emerald_Warrior

They just want the rabbit!

As for the game, it sound like Ninja Gaiden, but I don't think you items you look like look like angry faces, so that might not be it.

I'm an MG fan (have been for a long time), the best MG title is MGS 3: Subsistence. It included the english translation of MG 2: Solid Snake.

However, the best title on the PS2 is probably GTA: San Andreas. It has a little something for everyone with plenty of room to explore.
