Sony: $6.4 billion loss

Microsoft: $5.11 billion profit

Being happy that a company is doing poorly is just quite sad and pathetic. A huge company such as Sony failing would mean the loss of thousands of jobs, and will considerably increase the unemployment rate in several countries. So uh yeah, then again what can you expect from someone who can afford only one system and then one who wishes that all the others fail. On another note, most of MS's profits come from its other divisions (operating system, corporate software such as its supply chain management software, its cloud computing systems, and etc). The 5.11b in profit had very little to do with the Xbox division (which may have lost money, we dont know that for sure though). On the other hand, Sony has been doing poorly overall (not just its gaming division, but also the other divisions, like its TV division). Anyway to close this off...kinda pathetic that so many people want a company to fail just because they cant afford to have more than 1 system (or because they dont have that system).

You know what is equally pathetic? When people, who have clearly lost arguments by conventional means, turn to guilt and shame tactics by suddenly taking the "moral high ground" and/or try to trivialize their opponents stance as a last ditch effort to save face/confabulate for their own cognitive dissonance. Oh, and then throw in a straw man for good measure... not. gonna. work.

TheShadowLord07

what bad about the sith lords?

It was improved in some respects from its predecessor. The rush to make it out for holliday season, resulting in unresolved plot lines and a completely unfulfilling ending, was an experience where I genuinely felt cheated.

I would never have considered it until recently....But through the years playing from the earliest beginnings of Bioware's catalogue--which were and remain my favorite experiences in gaming---to now seeing what they've become.....geeze...

To think of the epicness and engrossment and complexity bioware of old could of created in their games w/ their current budget....-sigh-

I'm almost at the point of caring enough to not support EA ever again.

Dude, I lurk on these forums 99% of the time, and the moment after I read your thread topic and saw your sith sig (forming the connections...) I immediately scrolled down and clicked "new message" to formally accuse you of your highly suspicious pattern for creating fawning bioware threads....ONLY TO SEE SOMEONE ALREADY HAD ON THE FIRST PAGE OF THE THREAD. LOL.

Sure, maybe you throw a smidge of rationality or leveled criticism at the game....but a man has to keep up his front, no?

when sony goes under I am going to create a giant sign/banner of the N64 and put it outside their HQ which reads "Redemption. Suck it. Finally."

Noob question, and i know there are a lot of variables to consider.... but with these steam sales i'm buying games like crazy and I just want to be cognizant of some nebulous memory threshold i shouldn't pass. Should I only have so many installed on my computer at a time for performance sake? Does it impact performance significantly?
