Since you obviously own a source game I'd recommend the source mod Empires. It's an RTS FPS hybrid and contains a ton of strategy and tactics. You should really check out their website, it's an interesting departure from most games.

The 4870 is far superior to the 8800gt.

Yes you can, it's been done. I recommend using ngohq, or whatever it is. They have a topic somewhere there on it where people have gotten the system to work.

Far Cry 2

Could have, and should have been, one of the most amazing games of the year. Incredible sound design, setting, and technical capabilities of the engine all came together perfectly. However, repetitive gameplay, absoluetely dissappointing graphics, bad voice acting, completely unrealistic damage and physics systems for a game based on reality, and a bored story destroyed the game.

[QUOTE="_Memento_"][QUOTE="aliblabla2007"]Crysis is an amazing FPS. Definitely a step forward for the genre, if not a leap.GodLovesDead
LMAO, how on earth on is Crysis a leap forward for the genre? Pretty grafix don't make a game revolutionary.

The physics and how its open gameplay was a step forward. It could be a leap considering how cinematic and tightly it was pulled off.

I honestly don't know where to start. This forum has been invaded by Crytards. Seriously, if you make a valid point about the game I'm not going to call you a retard True, Crysis had amazing graphics and sound. HOWEVER, I can't stand posts like this one. I had no idea so much ignorance could be contained in so few words. Physics. Are you kidding me. Crysis was NOT the first game to have physics. In fact, that it has physics should be EXPECTED in a game these days. Valve was doing physics 4 years ago. Open gameplay and step foreward in the same sentence? I... don't even know how to argue this... I can only imagine that this poster didn't even think before they wrote this. Cinematic? Ok, I guess you mean graphics here. Because Crysis was not cinematic in a storyline sense. The only thing immersive about the game was the graphics. Just too bad 99% of all gamers couldn't experience these "cinematic" graphics.

Zombie master and Empires are easily the two best mods for Half Life 2, or Source in general. Zombie master is a hybrid rts/fps where a zombie master controls npc zombies to kill humans. I've never laughed/cried/been scared so much in my life. Empires is also a hybrid rts/fps where two teams with a commander attempt to eliminate the other teams commander. Imagine Supreme Commander on a much smaller scale where the units are actual human players.

Zombie Panic is a terrible game, Zombie Master is significantly better IMO. ZM is one of the most entertaining games (mod) that I've ever played and keeps the zombie experience fresh through literally hundreds of quality user made maps. The strategy element is also an interesting addition.

Far superior to your first build.  Though I cannot in good conscience recommend the AMD processors right now.  You'd be better off swaping a quad core AMD for a core 2 duo from intel, believe it or not!  Especially for gaming.  That being said, intel processors and motherboards are far more expensive so if a Phenom works for you stick with it.

It usually isn't that difficult to find your saved games with most modern games.  It's either in a specialized folder in My Docs. or is in a conventiently labeled SAVE folder in the game's program files directory.  Copy, paste, and instant back up.

Besides, what if someone alters the place they  install the game to?  Then that bacup save data and settings button would be useless.  There'd be no way to update the new saved path to the DVD for sure lol.
