i have the game and think it is worth getting, yeh no car modding but still great game, 71 cars, 6 tracks which can be played in reverse or slightly changed! online news and gt tv which you can watch races and anything really to do with cars, will include episodes of top gear too!! and up to 16 players online! not that bad really, and the full game could well be coming out next year which is a very long time to wait!!
Well, to start off you should either get Warhawk or CoD4, they are both great online and you won't get tired of either of them easily. You can also get a Warhawk bundle for $60 that comes with a headset, which is an amazing deal. Uncharted and Ratchet are definetly great games but if you had to choose I would go for Uncharted. UT3 is also supposed to be the most intense online shooter around. There are also great exclusives like GoW3, MGS4 and LittleBigPlanet coming out in 2008. Hope that helps :)mgkennedy5
agree with everything you said! Warhawk is a super game and will have you playing for hours! also cod4 is brill! uncharted is a great game and hoping for a sequel! i have UT3 and it is great! really intense and fast, also even if you are crap on the game, you will still rack up loads of kills! MGS4, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2, Haze, GT5, motorstorm 2, resistance 2 are all great games that should be coming out this year and are all exclusives:P
i just took it slow and tried to just shoot out the lines infront of me, don't bother getting every single power chain blown out, not worth it unless you want all the points! it took me quite afew go's but i did it in the end, just try not to die when you get to the checkpoint in the middle cause you have to do it all over again! good luck:) and i agree it's not as bad as everyone says it is!
From what I have played so far I'd say it's worth it if the game would only let me download the update!!!!! Everytime I try to download it, it tells me there is an error therefore half the game can't be accessed :cry::xkkcoolman

Unfortunately majority of us can't help you bud. We're all waiting form mid April release. I highly doubt you can go with full speed, crash and then take off with full speed again.
The GT5 HD Demo that is on PSN punishes you deeply if you try such thing. ^_^

it hasnt come out where you live yet? and trust me it happens, they go full speed into barrier and then bounce off it! stupid and annoying!!
