Bad News for gamers, (Will ANYBODY stand up to EA and its money?)

EA added BioWare to its many conquests this week, and by added i mean bought out. Its getting rediculous, soon there wont be any developers other than first party developers, and that will be a disaster for the gaming industry.I used to like EA, but what they are doing now is dis-heartening. Instead of trying to make better games themselves, now they just buy out successful developers and run them into the ground. BioWare was one of the top independent devs on the market, that wont last now that they are part of the greater electronic arts "family." Mass Effect may very well be the last BioWare game i buy, because it will be the last pure BioWare game. EA should be ashamed of themselves, as should BioWare for selling out, even though im sure it was a sh@t ton of money.

Halo 3 vs. COD 4 Revised

In my opinion, having played both of the betas, i would say that Halo 3 is going to be the better game, due to the fact that the ability to record videos of the matches, the forge editing tool, and bungies awesome bungie.net stats. I am not saying that Modern Combat is going to be a bad game, quite the contrary, but Halo is the reigning champ on Xbox and I see no reason or evidence to believe that the new call of duty will dethrone bungie's juggernaut, but who knows, i havent played either full game so we'll see.....

......That was a few months ago, now that i own a have spent much time playing both full games, I still agree with my original prediction. Halo 3 still has the edge, BUT it isn't as large of a gap as I had thought. COD4's campaign is has awesome gameplay and a few jaw-dropping moments, but it is awesomely SHORT,I got through it in just over 5 hrs, but its multiplayer is downright addicting, much like Halo 1 was when it came out o so many years ago. Halo 3's campaign is longer with me bein able to get through it on heroic in just about 7 hours, and its multiplayer still sports the best online interface and party system on any console. But its not the gameplay of H3 that sets it apart from COD4 (to be honest, both games offer a different style of play and game experience, and are both equal in my opinion), it's the robust set of features, such as 4 player online co-op, the forge editor, and my personal favorites: the theatre option, and the well done bungie.net stat tracking and service record that set it above (even if its only a little bit) Infinity Ward's outstanding COD4. Bravo Zulu to both Bungie and IW, you guys put out two of the best Multiplayer shooters I've ever played.
