@bluefox755 Precisely. Legally, there is no law preventing them from doing this, and it's under their copyright to do so. Morally? They look stupid and obnoxious for doing this when they could've sat idly by like almost every other major gaming company has.

@McGregor Lots of gray area in this. Still. There was a lot to begin with when it comes to things like YouTube, and something like this isn't going to necessarily clear anything up very well . . .

@Soniczero1993 You do realize that if you put Ad-Block on, no one gets money from your views, correct? So if you've been using Ad-Block this entire time, you've essentially been screwing over the LPers to begin with. And TECHNICALLY, from a moral standpoint, they've already made their money on their product when it was bought.

@JOHN1486 Very possibly will happen eventually . . . but look at how long EA had "Online Passes" for their content. This isn't something that is going to go away for a while, unfortunately.

@Cypress131 @TheGamerPhenom We're not disagreeing is what isn't getting across. As a business move, it's fine from Nintendo. As a PR move, they're already doomed in the public eye. This type of move isn't going to go over well with the massive public regardless of how they try and spin it, regardless of what truth is behind it. All about perception, and something like this is going to have a negative stigma attached to it publicly.

@punksterdaddy Yes, but this never becomes an issue if Nintendo never bothers. Other companies that have already publicly said they don't care what YouTuber's do to advertise their games would have still left well enough alone. Some company may have eventually done this, but sweeping change is much more likely because a major company like Nintendo got involved, and it's going to make a bad PR rep for them.

@Sohereiam They also could've left well enough alone, as many major gaming companies have chosen to do. Regardless, they've made a PR blunder that is going to frustrate people

@Cypress131 But as you can see, it's being portrayed as taking money away from LPers, And what's worse, even if it is how you described it, many will be frustrated by having more ads put on vids that already have a stupid number of ads to begin with. Either way, it's still liable to piss off a bunch of people, and frustrate LPers.
