I'm sure the people who frequent this board see a ridiculously high amount of posts just like this one on a daily basis, so I'll keep it short. Basically what I'm looking to do is build myself a rig that can run (Not max, run) newer games like Battlefield and Skyrim. The computer wouldn't have to run them on high graphics, just run them smoothly while making them look halfway decent. Obviously I would like to be able to upgrade it as time goes on, but right now money is tight and I just want something that will work for my purposes. I'm going to be frank, I don't know much about PC hardware. Which is to say I don't know anything other than how to set up a pre-built one out of the box. I have no idea about the inner workings whatsoever. My budget for this computer would be $500-700. I'd like to keep it under $700 if possible, but if that won't get me a computer that will do what I want it to do, then I guess it'll have to be more. I plan on using my TV as a monitor, so no need to include that. I also have multitudes of mice and keyboards lying around, so those won't be necessary either. If anyone could either give me a list of parts or link me to a pre-built PC that I'll be able to upgrade later on down the road, I'd be very appreciative. Also, I want to turn this computer into what's essentially a Minecraft server box. Which is to say something that can run a dedicated Minecraft server, and maybe allow my roommate to do a bit of light web browsing and word processing for his schoolwork. I figure I'd just have to buy a metric ton of RAM for it, but again I dunno.
