According to an earlier post, the reviewer had bashed the game two weeks earlier, bad choice by GameSpot.
But if you look at the average reviews? 9/10-9.5/10 So not perfect, but a damn good game. So if you like this style of game, go for it, but I'm the type who is getting geeked out over Fallout 3 and FarCry 2
[QUOTE="darkspartan1992"]When did X-Play review it!? :oGamespot is great, but alittle harsh on certain games.
I'd go with Xplay's review on this one.

I'm sorry, but anyone who goes by Xplay's reviews is a sad human being. Go to MetaCritic if you really care about reviews, they compile all the scores into one score.
But in my honest opinion? I wasn't excited about Fable II. I figured it would be alright, just like the first one. Nothing that would make me succumb to the urge to go buy it.
Now a game that HAS me with that itch, that urge, is FarCry 2. Sure everyone can cry oh it's just a sequel, but the level of detail, the first completely non-linear story (I dont care what you say, every other game is linear in one way or another,) oh and the most amazing map editor to grace the 360 so far. I mean have any of you WATCHED the map editor video? Paris? Egypt? Hell yes. Sorry for derailing your thread, but the game developers with their hands on FarCry 2 have actually taken a "sequel" and completely made it their own. It's a contender for game of the year as said by many critics (EX: PC Gamer,) and the multiplayer with custom maps should be amazing and neverending.
But back to Fable II :-P If you didn't like the first one (like me,) then you probably wouldn't like this one. I'm sorry but even if it is improved, the NPC interaction was still very bland in my opinion from what I've seen.
I'd say rent it, if you love it? Buy it. But I'm probably trucking out to buy FarCry 2 tomorrow for 360 :-D
It's the year of the sequel (and threquel haha if you count Fallout 3) and honestly they're doing pretty good jobs so far.
[QUOTE="TheJackal_basic"][QUOTE="-Intellectual-"]If you didn't know L4D is a FPS powered by the CS:Source Engine and has 4 player co-op for the campaign and multiplayer. Valve has stated that it will support the X360 version with future updates/maps, so no worries there.
stappy
Key point there being "Powered by the CS:Source Engine"
Boring.
So many new engines and games have come out since HL2 that the graphical prowess it once had is nothing compared to Gears of War, Call of Duty 4, etc.
Secondly, it's made by Valve, and Valve stopped innovating and it pisses me off. HL3 is what I want, not HL2.2.3.1.4.4.1.2.3
I hate this episodic b.s. I want a new game, new story, new engine. Not rehashes of your old game.
Some may like that, but I personally believe in progression in games. If you don't do something better the next time around, I'm not going to buy it (Madden series is a great example.... very rarely changes.)
BUT, L4D was listed as the #1 anticipated game by Game Informer, so there's SOME hype, just not Gamespot.
Wow. You're calling Portal, Postal III, The Crossing, Team Fortress 2, etc boring? And you can't compare HL2 to Call of Duty 4, as Call of Duty 4 did nothing new AT ALL. At least HL2 was one of the first games to feature an advanced physics engine.
Nope. All decent games. COD4 had a new engine, new multiplayer set up (over 9000x better than any HL2 based game), etc.
BUT. It's outdated. It's old news. Plus rag-doll physics? Been around for a while. Half-life 2 just let you mess with them.
Valve needs to make a Source 2.0 or gtfo the gaming world. You don't see Blizzard releasing StarCraft 2 with the Starcraft 1 engine do you? No. It's called innovation. Not modding your game and re-selling it like it's new.
Fail.

Well, I figured it was best that I post this on the 360 forums because you all would focus on what I would get out of the 360 more than why the PS3 is "better" etc.
I've had my PS3 since last December, and I've been enjoying it quite well, but after I most recently got the Error of Doom (yes, we have our own version of the Red Rings of Death,) Error 80010514, which means my blu-ray drive has failed, I've been thinking of switching sides.
I'm a competitive gamer at heart, and I know the 360 with Gamertags, Achievements (I think the PS3 trophies are too little, too late,) and overall setup of online gameplay is much better, even if I do have to pay for it.
Now, I also use my PS3 for videos that I stream from my computer, or download onto the hard drive. Does Microsoft allow you to put/play Divx videos on the 360? How easy is streaming media to the 360? Such as music, video, pictures, etc.
But another thing I'm worried about, is I know Microsoft has said they will NOT be coming out with a Blu-Ray adapter for the 360, which makes me worry about the future of games for the system. I know that Forza 3 is going to have to be on two discs because of the fact the DVD's just can't cut it for space anymore, which means that developers will have to start cutting back on important things just to make it fit.
I also have a decent amount of games that I purchased for the PS3, and I'm not sure if I could get my investment BACK on all of those things. Such as Rock Band, which I would still want to get for 360, or wait until RB2, but either way it's difficult.
So my question is, is it worth making the switch THIS late in the game? I know PS3 fans are going to think I'm a traitor, and don't get me wrong, I loved my PS3, but I don't really have any exclusives or anything big to look forward to anymore, except for GT5, and even then when I rented a 360 for a week, I enjoyed Forza 2 more than Prologue. Also, is it worth making the switch if I'm taking a loss financially as well? I have to wait to get a reciept anyways or bug them telling them it happened after I installed 2.4 (which is true,) because it's been happening to a LOT of people. So once it gets fixed and back to me, should I make the switch to one of the new Pro 60gb's? Or just keep with what I've got.
I don't have the reciept which means I'm going to have to bother Sony until they fix it for free, but hopefully that will work.
I'd really like to hear from previous PS3 owners who have made the switch, because they could give me their first hand opinions! Also, when you got rid of your ps3, did you craigslist? ebay? or what?
Anyone who can help it would be much appreciated!
ALSO, a moderator closed this thread a minute ago because he said "System Wars is thattaway"
Well I'm asking for HELP from 360 owners on what to decide, especially those who have made the switch, BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO GET FLAMED. Which is EXACTLY what would happen in System Wars, thank you very much.
So please, pretty please, don't lock this thread again.
Thank you all!
Well as for the warranty part, I'm technically out of warranty because I bought it secondhand, and don't have the reciept.
BUT I have heard stories of people getting Sony to fix it out of warranty because it happened after firmware 2.40, so I'm going to try that.
But again, it all depends on if I can find a buyer for the system and all the stuff that I have. Like Rock Band, COD4, AC, etc. etc. As long as I can buy the 360, get Halo 3, COD4, and Forza 2, I'll be a happy camper.
