@CyberEarth: You're assuming the Nintendo is even aiming for AAA multiplatform games. While it may get your annual sports games, and a few others, don't expect much else from 3rd parties. Nintendo has learned long ago that they can never win against Sony and Microsoft for the Hardcore gamer. Their best bet is to trail their own path and fill and undeserved niche rather than an already saturated market. If Nintendo can ramp up support for the Switch and release as much as they can for it, then it doesn't really need many AAA multiplatform games. The Switch will largely sell on backs of Nintendo first party games, Japanese/mid-tier games, and indies.
Sad to see gamers still making the mistake of overestimating how important graphics and specs are to a system. Now, it's necessary to have capable enough hardware for what you intend to do with your product. But what gamers fail to realize is that specs don't sell systems or games. Consumers don't care about having the most Terra-flops or gigabytes or RAM or anything. They just want something that's competent and affordable. That's what the Switch looks to be.
@cboye18: I own a Wii, I own more than 20 games for it. It was my most played console last gen besides the PS3. I think I have a good idea of what I'm talking about.
@DrunkenPunk800: I don't see why it can't be both. Something that has good games, and a new way to play. I'm getting sick of this anti-foward-thinking conformist attitude gamers have.
