Some more editorial dismissals, and two new editorships. I lost my Trusted status for Heartbeat on 3 April 2007. I had racked up a number of points by virtue of correcting credits that used duplicate IDs, and the editor awarded me a rare TU slot. He lost interest in the site when pulled up over the practice of making multiple submissions, and eventually retired. The TU slot was lost during the last major editorship bug, and the guide eventually acquired a new editor. The new chap hadn't contributed to the site in over a year, and had already been stripped of all editorships. Submissions to the guide were being approved by staff, and new episodes were being duplicated. When the editor failed to visit the site for a number of weeks, I reported him missing. Nothing happened, so I decided to outstrip the editor's points tally, undertaking some overdue restructuring, making 10 submissions a day to correct episode numbering that had been out since TVTome days. Yesterday he was dismissed, my outstanding submissions were approved, and I have a commanding CP lead for a soap that I haven't watched since one episode in the first season some 15 years ago.

Meanwhile, for some months I have been submitting one cast correction a week to the Family Affairs guide. I had identified a number of duplicate IDs in use as star credits for the guide. The editor agreed to make the necessary corrections at summary level, but chose not to correct them at episode level. I corrected most of these, but one actor had so many credits that I decided to adopt a gentle approach, waiting until one submission was approved before making the next. It soon became clear that the editor had disappeared, but I was happy with the arrangement: the show had ended years ago, and noone else was submitting to the guide. The editor was unexpectedly retired yesterday, and I acquired editorship of a soap that I have never seen.

So, Family Affairs and Heartbeat join my little collection of unexpected or unwelcome editorships.
