It's was an awesome year!

Here they are!

1. The legend of Zelda: Windwaker: I know when the game was first announced, many people, including me hated the graphics....until i saw them in action, they are so smooth! Not only that, the game is epic and fun, with the best combat system in a zelda game IMO. The story is damn good too! Windwaker is definately my second favorite zelda game next to OOT.

2. Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door: This is definately the first Paper Mario i played, and i went in not expecting much. Boy was i blown away! With a fantastic set of quirky, loveable characters, an amazing combat system, and an amazing story, this game sets itself as one of the more respected GC games.

3. Super Smash Brothers Melee: A sequel to the original that improves the formula with new attacks for returning characters, and many new characters and challenges!

4. Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes: I know, it is a remake, but it is an amazing one that improves the original and was exclusive to our favorite ourple cube! MGS has a top notch story and amazing gameplay. Not to mention the hard-ass of all hard-asses, Solid SNake!

5. Super Mario Sunshine: I know this game gets a lot of hate, but it shouldnt! While not being a conventional Mario game, it is still a very fun platformer!

6. Metroid Prime: Originally, the thought of a first person Metroid put me off, but after playing it, and seein the beautiful graphics and world that was created, i fell in love! The action is fast paced and awesome, and the story is one of the better ones in the Metroid series!

7. Prince of Persia the Sands of time: Think of a more linear zelda with crazier action and time control, and you have PoP. That is not to say it is a copy by any means, but similarities are undeniable. This action-puzzle game starts out with a Prince trying to impress his father, but he getscaught up in an amazing adventure and has to save to world from a treacherous vizier!

8. Prince of Persia Warrior Within: While this one lost the charm of the original, it made up for it with improved combat mechanics, and one of the best combat systems i have ever seen! This one is darker, grittier, and has one of the scariest villains i have ever seen! No one escapes the Dahaka!

9. Metroid Prime 2 Echoes: While being a good game in its own right, this one simply falls short of the original, but still great enough to make it on my list! Dark Samus!!!!!!!!!

10. Animal Crossing: I know, how can a game about paying off your mortgage be fun? well it is. it is sad how many hours i logged trying to pay that damn racoon!

I have never been much on handhelds so i had to combine the three gamnboys to make ten games.

1. The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons: Two entirely different zelda games, yet they are connected. You can trade game exclusive rings with friends, if you happen to have link cables haha! The real deal with the connection with the games, though, is the fact that when you complete both games you unlock a final battle with Ganon!!!!

2. Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga: It has the same charm from Mario RPG and the paper Mario series, but with i twist! Luigi!!!!!!!!!! finally an RPG with both mario bors.!!!! The timed attacks are also FAR more important than the other RPGs. The game is tons of fun and with a zany, yet fulfilling plot with an awesome finale!

3. Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow: Ever wanted Monsters in your pocket? me too! Gotta catch em all!

4. Pokemon Gold/Silver: These ones took the precedent set by the first series and improved it! there are many more pokemon and a whole new story for you to play! not to mention a new land to explore and you return to kanto! after collecting all sixteen badges you can battle red if you wish, but be careful, hes tough! (Red represents the trainer from the original series)

5. Megaman Zero: Zero finally got a spinoff? oh wait, it's a different, future zero? still awesome! but soooooo hard!!!!

6. Metroid Zero Mission: The first Metroid gmae for the GBA. Had all the Metroid charm and a crazy plot to boot!

7. Metroid 2 Return of Samus: A direct sequel to the first one, before the timeline got all screwy. (but hey, at least there IS a definate timeline, right zelda?) This time, Samus is tasked to take out the entire Metroid planet! the game added many evolutions of these horrible creatures that i wish we would see again, especially the queen!

8. The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap: While not quite up to 2d Zelda standards, this game still manages to be fun, with many attacks for link to learn and lots of sidequest this is definately a must for any zelda fan!

9. Super Mario Land 2: This was definately an odd bal in the Mario series, but it was the first game with Wario!

10. Wario Land: This quirky boss from Mario Land 2 got his own awesome spinoff, dont think that it is just a redone mario game though, wario has many abilities that are unique to him.

Here is part 3 of the blogs!

1. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time- The game starts lighthearted enough. A young Kokiri just wanting to be accepted because he has no fairy friend like everyone else finally gets one, but it turns out he has a much bigger destiny than any kokiri! ERventually, we see adult link for the first time due to time travel, that is where the game really picks up. It gets darker as link emerges from the chamber of time to see the world he knew as a child in ruin, you must stop Gannondorf! Not only was this a revolution for the zelda franchise, but for gaming as a whole!

2. Super Smash Bros.- The first in a landmark series. Such a simple idea, take a bunch of Nintendo characters and pit them against each other!!!!

3. Super Mario 64- Arguably the greatest Mario game ever. (i dont agree, but many do) I have to agree that it is one of the most influential games ever being the first great 3d platformer.

4. Super Paper Mario- first of all, i would like to apologise for not includin mario rpg on my last post....it slipped my mind......But this was definately one of the best games for the nintendo 64! It brought the a more refined version of the rpg system that mario rpg had. timing is everything!

5. The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask- While not as epic of a quest as OOT imo, this was one great sequel to it! Like its predecessor, the game starts innocently enough, link is searching for his missing friend Navi and gets REALLY lost in the lost woods. so lost, in fact, that he finds a town beyond the woods! Termina is busting with life. While it may only have four dungeons, the most side quest ever seen in a zelda game more than makes up for it! And four distinct forms to choose from makes this one of the best zelda games!

6. Super Mario Kart- A very fun kart racer with a Mario spin!

7. Starfox 64- To this day, one of the funnest space shooters of all time. It has fantastic level design and out of this world combat! DO A BARREL ROLL!!!!

8. 007 Goldeneye- One of the best first person shooters of its time, it brought great multi player to the table of the fps genre.

9. Diddy Kong Racing-Where it lacks in originality, it makes up for in fun!With three different vehiclesto choose from this racer is a blast!

10. Banjo Kazooie- I honestly never played it, i was pretty late to the 64 lol, but with all its critical acclaim it has to be here somewhere!

The second part in the saga! My favorite console ever, the Super Nintendo!!!!!!!!

1. Chrono Trigger- Anybody who has played this knows why i put it as #1. The game starts simple enough, boy meets girl, goes to the fair with her, plays some games, buys her candy, tries his scientist friends new teleporter an BOOM! The plot goes topsy turvey as the girl accidentally gets sent back in time! You are off to the rescue and end up ona quest to save the planet! Story ad gameplay are amazing! The game also has the best cast of characters of almost any game! (all IMO of course) This one also happens to be my favorite game of all time!

2. Super Mario World- Tons of new powerups and rethinking of a few oldies, plus the addition of one of the most popular Mario characters, Yoshi!!!!!!!!!!!

3. The Legend of Zelda: A Link (pun!) to the Past- After Zelda 2, Nintendo decided to take it back to the original formula with this one. Not to say that this is an updated Zelda one by any means, the only thing that remeained the same was the core gameplay. With a wild plot and two worlds to explore this ranks among the best Zelda games!

4. Dokey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest- A Dnkey Kong game without Donkey Kong? MADNESS!!!! Despite the lack of the character that the series is named for, this, in my opinion, ranks high above the original! With better level design, bosses, and Dixie Kong's helicopter hair,i think this is one of the best platformers around!

5. Yoshi's Island- Mario and luigi's backstory and origins in the mushroom kingdom! This game has a whole new level of gameplay that seperates it from the other mario titles and tie-ins while retaining the light hearted Mario feel. Not to mention some of the greatest bosses I've ever fought!

6. Super Street Fighter 2- With a great combat system and a ridiculous cast of characters, this game earned its spot as one of the greatest fighting games around!

7. Super Mario All Stars- Every NES mario game with updated grapghics plus a few extra Japan only games? AWESOME!

8.Super Metroid- While being dangerously close to the original, Super Metroid still defines itself with updated graphics and gameplay, and many awesome new items and powerups!

9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time- A time travel quest starring the TMNT, nuff said.

10. Kirby Superstar- Take the original kirby formula, update it, add new powers, sprinkle on a new plot with 8 interlocking stories and in my mind you have a winner!

I have a project that i will be up to. once a week i will post a blog of the top ten games for a system. i will only do systems that i have owned, so sega will not be seen. i will start with NES!

Top ten NES games:

1. Super Mario Brothers 3- Anybody who plays this game knows that it is full of win! The music, the level design, everything! Not to mention the first game with the koopa kids!

2. Startropics- Not a lot of people know of this game I'm sure, but i love it! The main character wields a yo yo! Its got magic and giant monsters and aliens and a goofy, yet awesome story! It holds a special place in my heart as the first game i bought!

3. The Legend of Zelda: The game that started a legend. Definately one of the hardest games ever, and even after you beat it you aren't done! The second quest with rearranged dungeons awaits!

4. Super Mario Brothers: This game needs no introduction.

5. Kirby's Dreamland: What is wrong with a pink marshmellow guy eating everything in sight to gain their powers and take on a penguin with a hammer? Nothing that's what!

6. Megaman 2: Still regarded as the best in the megaman series by a lot of people, this one truly had it all! great level design, music, and a level of difficulty that would make the manliest of me cry!

7. Battletoads: Simple, Two muscle bound toads on a quest to save their even more muscle bound brother and a princess from an evil queen. Awesome!

8. Super Mario Bros. 2: Sure it was a mario game in name only, but it was still a hell of a time with four distinct characters to choose from!

9. Megaman 6: So many differences, yet so many similarities, just like a megaman sequel. The charge shot, slide, and rush armors really made this game awesome! (i know the charge shot and slide weren't originated in 6, but i missed a few Megaman games)

10. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: A simple co-op beat 'em up with the TMNT. I love it!
