I linked a good motherboard there. Has the latest AMD Chipset 890, and supports the SATA 6GB/s and USB 3.0, Single GPU @ 16x or Dual GPU @ 8x/8x for CF. This board should be great for future upgrading.
I linked that HDD also because it supports SATA 6gb/s.

Ya but it doesn't support my ram I have picked out(1600), so unless someone tells me to avoid 16x/4x for CF'ing 5850's ill stick with the cheaper one. Thanks for the help/info though. I would link it but I'm doing this from my phone : / at least it is a way to bypass suspension
If you are using 5 series cards, the difference between x16 and x4 can be as small as 2%. If everything else on the board is satisfactory, namely the RAM speed support, there won't be any noticeable difference compared to x8/x8 or x16/x16 CF motherboards.GhoX
Taking this post into account I think I will go with the one I found because it has 1600 ram (that's the speed of the ram I picked out) and it is cheaper. But it is 16x/4x. I'm going to crossfire 5850's so let me know what ya think
For the other question it simply means you get Higher READ/WRITE Speed for SSD's/HDD's see below for example/info(same with USB 3.0 -- way faster than USB 2.0):

I'm looking into this though:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-336-WD -- See now this get's around 130MB/s Read / 80MB/s Write ish. Whereas SSD's get 250MB/s Read / 170MB/s Write, some are higher speed, some are lower, But if you ever got one, make sure it supports trim.
Bottom line they allow Data to travel faster between interfaces.

Why did u link a hdd? the 6gb/s and usb 3.0 are talking about hdd speed? That hdd is able to do what the mobo is?
so what is thre best mobo with usb 3.0 and sata 6 gb/s that can CF all for around 150 bucks? I found one for around 125 but the bandwidth was 16x/4x... what is the downfall to CF'ing with that? Honestly, what the heck is so great about 3.0 usb and 6gb/s.. what does that stuff mean. How does b.w. effect performance? Thanks!
