I have an idea for what could've made Vita a big selling, show-stopping handheld (not that I'm predicting it will fail): Google. No, seriously. If Sony could've partnered up with Google to make a custom-made Sony version of Android operating system - maybe like a mesh of the XMB and traditional Android interface - that could run apps from the Android Marketplace, and still keep it near the price point it is today, THAT would've made it a game-changer. Based on the kind of graphical performance we're seeing out if it, the specs have to be on par or better-than an iPad or similar tablets. Its ability to do most of the things a tablet could do, but with a form factor and overall design making it focused more on gaming, would've combined to make it a big-time seller, in my opinion. As of now, people will just see it as slightly better, expensive (although it's not, when you look at the specs) version of the PSP, and that's not good.
