@xcael: Did they cut you a check? There's plenty of games available that don't have insidious microtransaction models on the market and EA is doing it wrong. Sure, no season pass, free DLC, the game isn't more expensive...but look at Overwatch or Rocket League and see how it's done correctly before defending a system that is not in favor of your wallet.

@sellingthings: Seriously consider doing porn. I mean, if I were 7'5", I'm sure I'd at least TRY to play pro ball.

Man, I sure am glad that nostalgia holds no sway over me, or else I would have bought those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles / Simpsons / X-Men brawlers for my 360. Or what if I had accidentally paid for Contra or Super Dodge Ball on my PS4? No way stupid me would plunk down cash for a MegaMan Collection! And I would never, ever, buy Chrono Trigger on more than one platform (SNES, obviously!)

Oh. I did do those? Huh.
Turns out, that there is indeed a market for retro titles, regardless if they've been remade, remastered, or whatever you want to call it. Some people would even site these as a form of game preservation (gasp, the horror).

I can't just quite understand why someone would get high-and-mighty about a title that perhaps they don't enjoy, but will still find an audience with others, especially when it's a quality job. I couldn't give one single poop about playing Shenmu again, but why would I bemoan and belittle those that desperately want a HD remake? It's not fanboy-ism, it's just being an elitist.
