I've finally accumulated enough money to get a new game, and I cant decide which to get? Should I get NHL 11 or Fallout: New Vegas?

I finnaly got around to writing my review of GOW3. Check it out:

The final chapter of Kratos' brutal saga of loss and vengeance. The game begins right where the 2nd one left off, with Kratos on Gaias shoulder up to Olympus, to kill the remainder of his family, for forcing him to kill his family. (Exactly). There will be blood, lots and lots of blood.

Firstly, God of War 3 is one of the best looking games on the PS3, up there with Uncharted 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4. GOW 3 manages to get a unprecedented scale of epic proportions, and incredibly detailed environments and characters. Subtle face twitches, flexing of muscles and flickering of candles are all proof of Sony Santa Monica's attention to detail.
The voice acting is also great, with a good cast, but it is hampered by mediocre script. It feels like 80% of dialogue is Kratos talking about wanting about revenge and yelling angrily. But, the dialogue does do a decent job of moving the story along.
Finally, the weapons. There are 4 weapons, but besides the cestus ( a brawling weapon), the other 3 are basically variants of sword-on-a-chain. Because of this, the cestus steals the show.

A while ago i informed everyone that i was leaving gamespot for awhile for a number a reasons, (school, girl issues and the fact that i never really was that good at blogging), but i would still comment on blogs from time to time Well, since exam time is over and i've got my life pretty much back in order, I decided to come back. Pretty soon, Ill be posting my review of God of War 3, and when i finish the game, my review of Red Dead Redemption. And ill be sure to comment on blogs more. Since its the world cup, to show support for team Italy, i will end all of my comments with the phrase: Forza Azzuri!

Vegas

I got back from vegas yesterday and it was great. As i said, i wanted to go to ceasers palace to do a scene form the hagocer, and i did. This is the dialogue between me and the clerk (word for word):

Me: Is this the real Ceasers Palace? Did Ceaser actually live here?

Clerk: (stares at me for over almost a minute) Are you talking about the movie?

Me: No, i really want to know.

Clerk: (More staring): Know, this is a fake. Ceaser died 10,000 years ago.

overall it was really sick. I got a new cage fighter and some new shoes. I walked ALOT. If anytone in vegas goe see the venetian. Its so cool. the outside looks like the Duomo, (as seen in AC2) and the inside has actuall canals wiith gondolas.

UFC 113

May 8th is UFC 113, in MTL QC, my town. Me and my brother practicly begged my parents to let us go. The tickets went on sale saturday, but when my parents saw they were 250 each they said no. When my brother said we would foot the bill they said sure. So, now im goin to UFC 113! :D

BTW tonight is my first hockey game in 6 weeks since i broke my arm, so wish me luck.

update- feb 23rs: The hockey game went well. I played pretty good for being gone 6 weeks. When i walked into the room everyone stopped and yelled. I got an assist and really worked hard, didnt even fall. ;) It was a nice welcome back.

Oh man am i excited! Tomorrow, I'm going to Las Vegas! I'm going for about 5 days, and I'm probably staying on the strip. I specifcly asked if we could go to Cesar's Palace, to recreate a scene form the Hangover: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsFZFHzf2d8. :D

Wow, thats just about sums up Assasin's Creed 2. It's an amazing game. It took me about 16.5 hours, i couyld've sworn it took five. Its zips buy, and its a bit dissapointing that you cant reaplay missions. With two DLCs coming, (hopefully Bonfire of the Vanities will be better than Forli), I cant wait for more AC2. The setting in Italy was really interesting, because i've been to several of the locations in the game. The platforming element is great, but it can get a bit frusrating at times, because sometimes you jump in the wrong direction by accident. The graphics are average for games today. Combat is great, but can get a little difficult at times agaisnst multiple fighters, especially if some of them are Brutes. Hidden throughout the game are glyphs and feathers, which adds replay value. 9.5/10

Campaign a bit short, great multyplayer

More positive blog this time. If you read my past blog, you obviuosly know about my screwed-up arm. My grade is having a two dayski trip monday, and because of my arm, i can't go, which kinda sucks. I'm not that upset though, because that means i now get a five day weekend, since i then have a profesional daywedsnday, and a sleep in thursday, its gonna be a sick week. I now have five days to do nothing. Well, not nothing.

I recently finished MW2, which i borrowed from a friend, and started to do the Spec ops but realized that its no fun by yourself, so i gave it back to him so i could gop to his house and play it.ALso, i just got AC2, and i am ridiculously addicted. I honestly cant stop playing. So far i've found around 20 feathers, 6 glyphs and 3 assasin tombs. (if you havent played AC2 yet, you might understand that last sentence). Its amazing in every apsect. Also, i plan on replaying Republic Commando, just cause i feel like it. Also, i might play some strret hockey with my friends if i feel like it.

Also, i just realized that i got a new emblem, for voting in the 09 awards, which is sweet.

One more random thing...

I got a fohawk today, and it looks pretty good.

I need to get a cast for the next 3 weeks. During hockey practice yesterday i wasn't paying attention, and i got checked. I lost my glove, and my unprotected wrist hit the ice, hard. Not only that, i hit it with my entire body weight. to those that dont know hockey equipment, it adds around 5 pounds. So, i hit my wrist with at least 145 pounds. As you can guess, i made a nice crack on my wristbone. Now, I'm in cast for 3 weeks, can only type with my left hand, (i'm righthanded), and its reeeeally hard to eat most foods. Lets just say yesterday was not my day. At leats all the girls in my grade wanted to sign my cast and gave me a lot of sympathy, and i dont have to take notes, so not all is lost.
