So Ocarina was unsuccesful when it came out? What's your point?ash10692
OoT would not have be #1 if it had more reviews, THATS MY POINT

[QUOTE="TheUtmost"][QUOTE="majadamus"]Why does this surprise you gamers, even fanboys? The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a godsend among the gaming community. So, just accept its greatness and get on with your lives. crunchUK
gta iv is more popular and killes oot when it had 30 reviews, it's a cheaty game face it
cheaty game??? ha. go read the review it's like "this is undeniably perfect" all over it. also zelda franchise has been going on for far far far longer than pathetic "n00b" GTA4.

You do know that GTAIV is not the only game where that is true. This has happened numerous times and they've all ended the same way. Accept it.
if OoT would have 70-80 it would have ended up 95, or so, face it!1111111
Havent you noticed that in practically every top 100 list, zelda OOT is always at least in the top 10, and more often than not number 1. It has been ranked first more than any other game currently released. And no GTA4 wasnt on 100 at 30 reviews. It had received more than 10 90+ scores making its score around 97%
HAHAHAHAH, GTA first 30 REVIEWS RACKED up at 100 % if we ()
No game can ever conquer Ocarina of Time, and definitely not GTA IV. It's not even the best in the series.ash10692
OoT's first 30 reviews - 98 % ()
GTA IV's first 30 reviews - 100 % ()
D E T H R O N E D
OoT's sales (10 years) - 7-8 million.
GTA IV's sales (1 month) - 9 million.
OWNED!
[QUOTE="TheUtmost"][QUOTE="readingfc_1"][QUOTE="TheUtmost"][QUOTE="readingfc_1"][QUOTE="TheUtmost"]LoZ OoT doesnt deserve to be #1 with its 30 reviews cheaty game when GTA IV was at 30, it HAD 100 % reviews and COMPLETELY killed LoZ OoT
as of SMG, i havent played it,, i guess, but it looks boring like hell, but it hsa gotten very good reviews so i dont know, perhaps a good game but not my genre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
skingus
Thats because there wern't as many publications around back when OoT was released. Do you think it should be judged differently for this reason?
Half-Life, released '98, 63 reviews.
But at the time i assume more people had pc's and there were more PC publications. Gaming wasn't as big and wouldn't have had as many publications. You can give me facts all you want but Half life is a bad example because people will still be reviewing it today as its still pretty easy to get hold of. Zelda OoT isn't as the original version for N64 isn't pressed anymore.
whatever, zelda ain't that good, and not many people played "the best ever", as stated by some, i mean it has sold like 7 million in 10 years LOL LOL GTA has sold 9 million in one month! ohh, zelda got so owned!!!
How do you explain how Galaxy beat GTA??? I like GTA, but just want to know?
i have already said my thoughts on SMG, read further back. How do you explain GTA scored 10 on IGN and GameSPot, the most popular gaming websites, and SMG didnt? :(
[QUOTE="TheUtmost"]GTA IV's first review - 100%. EponiqueOoT's first review - 100%
i meant gta IV's 30 first reviews compare to OoT's
Killzone 2 developer Guerrilla Games has stated with confidence that it believes the highly anticipated First Person Shooter has lived up to the expectations of eager fans since the game debuted in trailer form at E3 2005.
"The level of anticipation for the 2005 trailer meant that people expected the biggest thing ever to materialize, and what we've shown so far, at last year's E3 and today means that we're living up to the expectation," commented Steven Ter Heide, Killzone 2's senior producer.
Graphically, Killzone 2 has surpassed anything delivered on a console yet, with lifelike animations, facial expressions, and spectacular lighting and smoke effects. This combined with gameplay mechanics such as the "lean and peek" system, Killzone 2 looks set to deliver more than just a rudimentary FPS experience.
The firm also acknowledges the comparisons observed between Infinity Ward's highly successful Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and virtually every new FPS on the market, though remains confident the studio can step up a gear when Killzone 2 hits shelves in February 2009.
"I'm not going to sit here and talk about the competition," said Guerrilla Games' Hermen Hulst. "COD is a game that virtually everybody in the office has played through and completed. We know where our game stands, and we're up for it, definitely."
With over eight months left for development, Guerilla Games has plenty of time to ensure the title lives up to expectations when it releases exclusively for the PS3 early next year.
Stay tuned to PSU.com for more information as Sony reveals more on the title later this year.Forensic-Klown
