Well I've finally decided to give FC2's campaign a shot, after having owned it for about two years now. Previously, I had thought it was stupid, boring, and pointless. But now, I realize that you have to MAKE it fun. You can't just go through it as fast as you can and expect yourself to have fun. You have to try different tactics and just plain screw around. You've got to understand, there are only about 3-5 people at Guard Posts and 5-15 at Story Missions, so you really need to make your kills count. Instead of throwing grenades and molotovs at the convoys and finishing them off with an AK, why not ambush it with a flamethrower and set the whole place ablaze, killing everyone? How about setting IEDs on the road and blowing up all of the vehicles without them even seeing what happened? What do you do when you're given a mission to attack a small village thing? Well... 1. Go to a high point 2. Scout the wind and the people 3. Go in and throw molotovs 4. Take everyone out with a USAS How about this? 3. Snipe the ammo boxes and cause a distraction 4. Snipe the confused enemies 5. Go in with an Uzi or a Mac-10 Or this? 3. Use an Assault Truck's HMG to take out the enemies 4. Go in with a flamethrower and wreak havoc upon them and the village 5. Take a shotgun and go nuts I'll admit, I'm still only 16% into the game with 6/32 missions done, but let me tell you now --- I'm definitely going to finish this game one day. Why "one day?" In case you didn't realize, Black Ops is literally coming out pretty much tomorrow, so I've got one day to complete 26+ missions. Oh, and I should also add, I'm almost positive that I'll be going for the Platinum for Black Ops (which will be #2, next to Bad Company 2)
